  1. Republicans used 9/11 as a political talking point for years, but it took Jon Stewart haranguing them repeatedly on The Daily Show to get Congress to FINALLY pass healthcare for the 9/11 first responders who were suffering. History is repeating itself, with veterans paying the price.

  2. They've been doing that for YEARS. By my recollection, it started when Reagan passed tax cuts for the rich and taxed people's Social Security benefits to offset some of the lost revenue. Literally taking from the poor to give to the wealthy.
