  1. Republicans have been trying to gut Social Security and Medicare for decades. George W. Bush wanted to privatize Social Security. Last year, House Republicans called for privatizing Medicare and raising the retirement ages for Social Security and Medicare. Sen. Mike Lee said he wanted to eliminate Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. They pass tax cuts for the rich and corporations, increase the debt---then say we need to cut or eliminate these programs because "we can't afford them." 🤬

  2. That's true, and anyone working 40+ hours per week should make enough to support their families and have a place to live.

  3. They also say that adding to the national debt doesn't matter, when it's being done through tax cuts for the rich and corporations. When it comes to helping people, that's when they become "fiscal conservatives."
