  1. We could tap every crude oil source we have and gas would drop by a few pennies per gallon at most. We just don't have enough supply to have enough of an impact on the GLOBAL oil market. The U.S. is EXPORTING a record amount of gasoline (Mexico gets 60% of its gas from us), which makes gasoline more expensive here. Oil companies get billions in subsidies and make record profits. It's Republican saber rattling over Iran and rampant speculation that's driving oil and gas prices higher.
