@jimwheeler6094 There was a thing called the pandemic, you might've heard of it. The economic slump caused by the pandemic caused oil demand to plummet, so producers in the U.S. and around the world cut way back on drilling. Now that the economy is growing again, demand is pushing oil prices higher but oil producers are reluctant to start drilling again because guess what---they like high oil prices. Oil is priced and sold on a global market. If a company in Japan or Germany wants to pay more for a pearl of Texas crude, that's where the oil is going. Biden isn't president of the world.

@jimwheeler6094 they could be drilling more, but won't. They could increase their refining capacity, but won't.
