  1. Oil production shut down worldwide during the pandemic. Many drilling companies went out of business. Demand is on the rise, but production hasn't caught up yet---and oil is sold in a GLOBAL marketplace. It's basic economics and it would be happening no matter who was president right now. Critical thinking must be very hard, for you.
