@sal5604 I've got some magic beans and the Brooklyn bridge to sell you.

Not only is Trump scamming people by issuing these “coins,” he’s getting paid a ton of money in fees alone. It’s like giving more money to a burglar who just stole your wallet. The only thing you can do with crypto is pawn it off on someone more gullible than you. A typical pyramid scam.

Crypto is a pyramid scheme, not a Ponzi scheme. Bernie Maddof had a Ponzi scheme. People invested with him and he used other people’s funds to pay them “profits.” People kept giving him money and he used the funds from his newest batch of suckers to pay off his other “investors.” With a pyramid scheme, someone sells an “investment” like crypto to a bunch of people who then have to pawn it off on others. The only way it works is if the pool of suckers keeps growing, creating demand. Either one eventually collapses when people realize it’s a scam and the whole thing runs out of fools with money.

@goingyard06 it's not a Ponzi scheme----it's a pyramid scheme. They're similar, but not the same.

It’s a pyramid scam. The only thing you can do with crypto is pawn it off on someone more gullible than you. You don’t actually OWN anything. It’s like paying money to get nothing in return but a digital receipt.

@goingyard06 That is EXACTLY what crypto is. You need more and more gullible people buying into the scam to keep it going.

@goingyard06 No, it's a pyramid. A Ponzi scheme has one person at the top, using the money he gets from other people to pay off investors. It all flows to the top, just like Bernie Madoff did. With a pyramid, I buy something and the only way I can make money is if more people are foolish enough to buy it from me.

@MGTOW93 I've got a bridge to sell you, since you'll buy anything.

@sal5604 Trump's supporters lost $2 billion in this meme coin scam. It's a typical rug pull/pump and dump scam. Sell something that has no real value, drive up the price based on hype and get plenty of suckers to buy in---then Trump and his family sell what they have, the price collapses and his supporters are left holding..... nothing.
