I know plenty of Wisconsin teachers and they work long, thankless hours while their governor blames them for his own mess. Why should you pay for their retirement? Well, because it's part of their legally-binding contracts they signed with the government. It's part of the meager compensation they receive. Guess what, you're paying for plenty of people's retirement plans---state lawmakers, state contractors too (when someone bids on a contract the price the state pays will include whatever retirement plan the contractor pays his employees).

  2. ***** Walker gutted the state's finances by cutting taxes for the rich and turned teachers into a punching bag. I know teachers in Wisconsin, they're overworked and underpraid. Quinn is mediocre but Rauner would be a disaster---that's why Rainer won't tell us what his plans are, he knows his plan doesn't add up.

If you claim to care about state finances, then you should also care about a governor who blows a hole in the state budget by giving more to those who have the most.
