I don't remember government sending food to my door and gave me a job. Is that how it works in China? Does Chinese government have a magical chicken that lays golden eggs which CCP can then use to buy imported food and send those food to everyone's home? I envy China now. Outside the walls of China, it's the other way around, we have to pay tax to feed our government. That is also why we insist we should have civil power to keep our government in check.

@dongxuzhou4661 Move China's shoe factories to some dirt poor country, and their expandable income will also rise 20 times within 20 years. Let's just say, for the last 20 years, China attracted Iranian businesses to build factories in China to manufacture/assemble Sri Lanka's tech and products to be exported to North Korea. Where would China be now? China was given a chance to latch on an *EXISTING* thriving economy which China did not help build when China came onboard. China isn't 20 years old. How was China doing before Taiwan moved its manufacturing tech into China to build U.S. products to be exported to the "evil west"?

Our government does not give us jobs, businessmen and venture capitalists create job opportunities. We have to compete to get those jobs. We then use money earned from carrying out those jobs to buy food for ourselves. Our government don't give us food. We buy food with our own money to feed ourselves. We have to pay tax to our government for them to carry out responsibilities we assigned government to do. Yeah, so I do envy China having a government which can collect free money from magical source and use it to give food and job to its people.

@real_dddf China started off with 90+% food consumption produced domestically 40 years ago. It's now at some 30% as agriculture lands were replaced with land developments and factories. China also has the worst food safety record. The ONLY way to get a government, ANY government to deliver results, is to have oversight over a government, and power over it. If a housekeeper which you paid for can steal your stuff, beat up your children, pee on your bed without any risks of getting fired or held accountable, why would he think he need to do a proper job?
