  3. But at the same time, building process have become safer for construction workers and finished product have also become safer for inhabitants. There is an infamous case here In Taiwan where a stadium construction was stuck in limb for a decade plus, all because there was a concern its fire escape routes aren't good enough for a stadium that capacity. The city has to resolve that with its developer through a bunch of litigations on who is financially responsible for what part of future alterations and our civil representatives have to maintain an oversight to ensure authorities signing off alterations aren't in bed with its developer. A lot of a delays and taxpayers' dollars wasted, but still better than finding it out it's not safe enough the hard way.

  5. LOLOLOLOLOLOL what a bunch of b.s. Housing price against local annual income, China 35:1, Japan 10:1, European nations 6:1, U.S. 4:1. Not to mention it's 'housing price' not 'housing price per sqm', so that stat is pricing Americans' big houses as equivalent to China's tiny condos and it's still 8X more affordable.
