  3. It's about days leading to actual war. Like how Russia lied, claiming its troops were just on drills when they were actually mobilizing for invasion; like how Russia flooded Ukraine with fake news of Ukraine's president fleeing to U.S., etc, etc. It's strategies China would likely use to weaken Taiwan's defense and morale before actual invasion. It's meant to start a conversation about strengthening Taiwan against such malice. It's not about the actual war.

He would have sat out of that war and focus on defending China if U.S. was going to invade. North Korea invaded South Korea. That was how it started. U.S. helped drove back North Korea.

What happened next? He invaded again. Mafia don't think like we do. We may think it's easier to let go of islands that's impossible to defend, but China will see it as a weakness in will power. Taiwan was tested once when Mao bombed Kinmen for years. That conviction paid off. Mao got the message.

He helped advanced Japan and Taiwan’s agriculture. He is THE man who figured out how to grow ginseng outside of Korea. He became a multi-millionaire because of it. He met his wife when he was in Japan. My dad was born in Japan right when WWII ended, before his parents move back to Taiwan. When KMT came to Taiwan, KMT robbed my grandpa clean and locked him in prison under the pretense that he “worked for Japanese”. He died under stress of endless interrogations when my dad was 9. My dad still has nightmares of seeing his dad in prison. What do you mean you doubt it. The arrogance of Chinese. Why the fvck would you think you know my grandpa more than I do? Oh, because you are Chinese and Chinese know EVERYTHING. Sheesh.

  34.  @护花铃  我用最簡單的說法。我去年在日本買渡假屋，我向日本申報時**必需**寫台灣人，國籍台灣，不能寫中國人，國籍中國，因爲中國沒有任何部門能提供日本文件證實我是我說的本人。全世界只有中國覺得台灣不是國家。不信？如果台灣今天“成爲國家”了，昨天跟明天的差別是什麼？差別只有一個，中共閉嘴了，沒有了。不需要什麼新政府新憲法新貨幣，不需要成立新國防，所有國家對台灣的外交政策也不必改，合作的繼續合作，沒合作的繼續討論。是中國入侵統治台灣才會破壞整個國際秩序跟國際經濟。所以，現況的事實，就是台灣是獨立的。台灣被中共吞了以後會變怎樣沒人知道，為什麼？因爲台灣是中共國的這事從來都沒存在過。

Chiang Kai Shek did NOT want to "reunite" Taiwan and mainland. He wanted to RECLAIM mainland. He didn't care about Taiwan. Taiwan, was just a pit-stop for him to rebuild his military power. His initial plan was to rebuild on Philippines islands. His talk with Philippines failed, so he settled for Taiwan. He refused to acknowledge legitimacy of PRC. While Mao openly advocated for Taiwan's independence because that's the same as Taiwanese wiping KMT from the face of this Earth, getting rid of his arch enemy. You are spewing nonsense.

  61. We aren't in 16th century anymore. It's 2024. It's nations not interested in building global economy in win-win partnership, will get nothing. Nations stuck on pre-WWII mentality of expansionism and dreams of an empire, will get nothing. We are in an era where strong economy is what builds strong nations. Even U.S.'s military might's purpose is to protect U.S.'s economic interests. Denmark, Singapore, gets a small piece of land, but their citizens live far more comfortable lives than Chinese living in China.
