  1.  @mikesaetern8263  U.S. debt is highly sort after AA+ investment. U.S. debt held by China is about two days worth of U.S. debt's trading volume. China can sell all for RMB, it'll be absorbed by the market within a week or two without affecting value of USD. However, China will then be unable to trade globally as trading partners want to be paid in U.S. debt, not in RMB. U.S. debt is high because every country on this planet wants to hold it as a currency for global trade. Can't say the same for other countries' debts.

  2. It's the corrupt politicians pocketing those billions but it's their countries which they ruined being tied to those trillions in debts.
