Getting rid of family court and family law would be a sincere effort to steer things in the right direction. Start with that.

@黄沙百战穿金甲 1911 RoC founded WITHOUT Taiwan 1920s~1940s RoC's civil war between KMT & CCP, which Taiwan was NOT involved 1945 Japanese government started leaving Taiwan, while KMT's army seeked refuge in Taiwan 1949 PRC founded, WITHOUT Taiwan 1951 Japan officially surrendered Taiwan in its SF Treaty with U.S. without naming any state as a custodian, leaving Taiwan's sovereignty to people of Taiwan At no point in time was Taiwan ever part of PRC.

How do you suppose we are able to get REAL RAW footage for war documentaries? Journalists and documentarians risking their lives to give the world images of TRUTH had been going on since the invention of film.
4
@sko1beer It's pretty meaningless to say "Taiwanese don't want war". Of course nobody wants war. The one who wants it is Xi. War can NOT be initiated by the defender. It is a CHOICE made by the agressor.
4
@黄沙百战穿金甲 You are so brainwashed you can't even follow simple logic. You guys did not "get back" Taiwan from Japan. Japan's 1951 SF Treaty was with U.S., not PRC. If you want to get really technical, Taiwan's custodian is U.S. but U.S. allowed Chiang Kai Shek to settle his government here as long as his RoC in exile is willing to work things out with people of Taiwan peacefully. All which has NOTHING to do with PRC.
4
@黄沙百战穿金甲 Mao was the seperatist. He went to USSR for arms and founded an illegal Chinese Soviet Republic within RoC, starting a civil war. And again, Taiwan had NOTHING to do with your civil war. Have you ever heard of a civil war that lasted for decades which no one died on the losing side? It's not possible because it was not our war.

@MustadMarine You missed his point. The reason U.S. debt is astronomical is not because U.S. is deep in debt, it’s because every nation is hoarding and holding U.S. debt as an investment and trade currency. They don’t want those debt paid back in their countries’ currency because everyone trades in USD. When everyone holds U.S. debt, they want those assets to retain value, which means, they want U.S.’s economy to stay strong and are betting on U.S.’s economy staying strong.

It's not good for the individual. All financial assistance to care for retired population, like subsidized homes and affordable care for elderly, comes from taxes paid by the next generation. So, people who didn't raise kids are reaping benefits off people who did raise kids. People who did raise kids won't get back full retirement benefits that came from next gen's tax, because they are sharing that resource with other people have didn't raise kids.

@IslandBuzzy Propagandists doesn't need to put themselves at risks. Just repeat the same lie a million times over and have the state suppress any narrative that challenge them. Like in China.
2
@icycaribe U.S. is not in this war. American troops aren't in Ukraine.
2
@IslandBuzzy We are in 2022. Not middle ages. Is U.S. under threat of being bombed by Japan and Germany? No? But don't you remember the 40s? So, which country had been threatening to invade Russia?
2
@黄沙百战穿金甲 By your logic, patriots overthrew British government so United States should inherit all territories of former British Empire including Singapore and islands of UK itself.
2
@黄沙百战穿金甲 Patriots overthrew British government in North America mainland and founded United States. And that's what U S. get. Territories which U.S. govern. U.S. does not get to "inherit" all territories of former British Empire. Mao's communists overthrew RoC's government in China's mainland. That's what PRC gets. Territories under PRC's governance. It doesn't get to "inherit" all of RoC's map or Qing's map. Get it?
2
@黄沙百战穿金甲 No one cares about your delusional dynasty b.s. We want to preserve our way of life, anyone who tries to take that away, we fight till they leave our home. Doesn't matter if it's China or Canada or aliens from Mars.
2
GR EAT That wasn’t what he meant. In short, “first women to” something something that others had done before, versus “first person to do this, is a woman” named such and such.
2
@hollow2hollowify But from the very same manufactures you bought from that had already been moving out of China, to Vietnam, India, Mexico, Indonesia, Malaysia.
2
@IslandBuzzy My point was, these aren't naive reporters who thinks their press passes make them immune to bullets. These are documentarians who understand their lives are at risks, but they value what their works far more than being free from risks.
1
@IslandBuzzy If Putin didn't invade, Ukraine is fine today, Russians are safe today. It wasn't journalists who started the war.
1
@icycaribe If Russia does not want to face a nation defending itself with U.S.'s support, then don't invade other people's homes, and Russia won't have to deal with it. Problem solved.

She a weird one. She advocated against Obama funding terrorists, says U.S. shouldn’t be involved in Syria, calls out on deep state, is against big tech’s censorship, which are all cool, but then supported Bernie’s socialism. Maybe she just needs someone to introduce Milton Friedman to her, and she’ll be good to come over to the light side.

@asw654 RoC's Civil War ended in 1949. There were some skirmish in Kinmen post 1949 which Taiwanese were sent. But that's between PRC and RoC which made it NOT a civil war. Civil war is war within one nation.
1
@asw654 Taiwanese were here long before KMT seek refuge here. During the decades of China's Civil War, my grandpa in Taiwan was given full scholarship to study agriculture in Japan. He went on to become an extremely wealthy entrepreneur advancing agriculture for Japan and Taiwan. When KMT came, they robbed him clean and he died of stress. My other grandpa didn't even know who Mao is. If KMT had won the civil war, would that war have anything to do with Taiwan? No. Chiang Kai Shek's original plan was to negotiate with Philippines to setup RoC in exile and rebuild his army in the Philippines islands. Taiwan being just his pit stop. That didn't work out but if it did, does that mean RoC's civil war was between CCP and Philippines? No.
1
@asw654 No. Mainland"s civil war was civil war WITHIN RoC. PRC did not exist during those decades. It was called 中華民國國共內戰,which translates to RoC's KMT vs CCP Civil War.
1
@asw654 PRC never had terrorial claim over Taiwan. But PRC just keeps saying that it does. RoC HAD terrorial claim over mainland China bewteen 1911 to 1949. Chiang Kai Shek refused to acknowledge he lost. RoC/Taiwan post Chiang family's rule doesn't want territorial claim over mainland China. But DPP doesn't have enough seats to throw away that outdated notion because KMT won't cooperate. The funny part is that it is PRC mustering every power and influence it can to prevent RoC/Taiwan from recognizing PRC as a legitimate country.

Trump is just messing with China and Russia. Imagine the two hearing Trump’s “expansionism”. United States is interested in boosting its economy, not its territory. Americans know that. But Russia and China fear an U.S. of A that think like they do. They are now going to think twice with whatever they are up to. This is his “Reagan’s Star Wars program”.
