" winter doesn’t inherently favour one side or the other, but it does reward the well-prepared and punish the poorly-prepared." Did it mention if favors the military on the offensive vs the military on the defensive? Ukraine is the one that has to move so it might be more difficult with the cold. But as you mentioned, it does punish poorly prepared and that would be Russia.

@gerhardaryawardana72 I've caught two Perun videos and they are very good. They just very long (generally around 1hr or more) and no way I can watch all the videos when I have so many other videos to watch. What you describe about the video, it does make a lot of sense. The key seems to be that Ukraine must keep attacking or bombarding Russian military positions. With the already low morale with Russians soldiers, the winter conditions and being bombarded might really break many of those Russian soldiers. Will it turn into any major land gains in the winter or will it serve to help weaken Russia for a later major land gain is unknown. I don't have high hopes that Ukraine would be able to make the major land gains during the winter.

@jurgnobs1308 all his videos are very long! Lol. They can be shortened if he was interested but his program is about full in depth details. It’s more educational at a cost of smaller audience but one can rightfully argue that with so many short form videos already out there, It provides a different type of option. Great videos but it also means I’m only going to watch the videos on topics that most interest me. Might check out this winter war video.

@jurgnobs1308 got it. I’ll have to check it out. If you’re interested in that content but want something focused on the war, check out William Spaniel. He does Shorter form (15-20min) videos about the russia Ukraine war and discusses strategy, news inside of both countries related to the war, etc. one of the videos that got me hooked was his video on why Ukraine hadn’t yet attacked the Crimean bridge and discusses pros and cons and and the difficulties Ukraine would have if they tried to destroy it. He then did a follow up video after it was attacked.

@khiem1939 to add to your comment, Russia has a long way to supply its troops as well. Not only are they short in supplies but also getting the supplies to the frontline are harder for Russia which is why Ukraine has been targeting their supply lines with ease. There Aren’t many routes for those supply lines unlike for Ukraine where they have so many routes unless they get cutoff in an area which hasn’t happened in a whole (Mariupol?).

@samuela-aegisdottir oh, I’ve heard the whole winter was bad. So it’s only right before and right after the freeze?

@ASwordTurtle I put Peron type of videos on my “walking playlist”. So I play them when I go for a walk or walk to do errands (I live in a densely populated area).

@neonbunnies9596 it’s actually negative sum game but yes, as long it’s hurts Moscow more than Ukraine, it’s a win for Ukraine. That’s assumes that the west keeps supporting Ukraine which seems very likely
