I like Roman but he’s full of it here. 538 (very reputable polling firm) looked at another polling the at isnt russian state media. They concluded Evidence of such a surge (pro war) also showed up in a survey by one of Russia’s most reputable independent pollsters, the Levada Center. The strong majority of Russians support the war.

Levada also tested the polling by separating the group into 2 —- one gets asked how many of the 3 times do they support (gay marriage, monthly allowance for the poor, abortion) and another gets those same 3 plus one extra question — support for the actions of Russia in Ukraine. The difference in both groups will give you the % who support the war.

@s-trader4686 he was being nice because yeah, his experience is the complete opposite of what Roman said. And Roman focused on the government polling but Leveda, an independent polling firm that 538 approves, also found the strong majority support the war.

Lol, St. Petersburg is by far the most liberal and most European. It’s like going to San Francisco and thinking all of the US is like that

My 40’s here…which is old by the demos of this channel. But yeah, I love watching his videos showing things from “inside” Russia or informing us of the perspective of the Russian people as a whole

@taoist32 People all around the world actually buy and trade USD. Nobody but Russia does that with the rubel.

The value of the ruble is artificial at this point. While in the short term, it was needed so that import prices don’t go even more wildly crazy, it comes with major long term impact. Interest rates shot up to 20% which will greatly reduce spending and ability to take loans — most economies are about 50% consumers driven so with interest rising tremendously, that will lead to major economic decline from far less consumer spending. The sanctions will continue to make imports much more expensive thus also declining consumer spending (power). All of this is why Rus is now estimated to decline up to 15% gdp this year.

I think the reason europe doesn’t want Russians is they want Russian who are anti Putin to stay in Russia and change Russia. If all the opposition leave, Putin only gets more powerful
