China has massive bribing in Guyana that was caught on video by Vice News. It will be a China puppet state.
2
@Liboch so looked it up on Wikipedia. The countries you listed have a higher percentage of English speakers (I’m surprised Malaysia is so high at 62% but the others I knew where higher) but total population of English speakers, India is second the world and more than all the countries you listed combined. Wikipedia says India has 130 million speakers and China only has 10 million. They even note that that there is a often a cited “300 million” but that is for learners, on 10 million can actually speak it. I’ve been to China many times - almost nobody speaks more than a few broken words in English though the youth from good schools in in major cities seemed to have a much higher rate of English.
2
@Liboch Singapore for sure has big English rate. I’ve seen videos from there and almost everyone speaks English. I’m still surprised with Malaysia. China — it’s tough to get around if you don’t speak Chinese. I don’t feel China is going to have a huge population of good English speakers anytime soon. They are very closed off and nationalistic compared to other counties. And with 1.4 billion people, they have a big enough local market to not be forced to speak English. In fact all of east Asia seems to have very low numbers of English speakers.
2
@drumpfdon760 hello vvumao, why can’t you admit and acknowledge what’s going on in Xinjiang? Are u on a contract to defend China?
2
Dark Brandon actually made smarter moves -- he essentially sanctioned critical components and got SEVERAL other countries to hope on board as well. Trump was horrible because he just blindly put tariffs on things that mostly hurt US consumers while doing little to slow down the important sectors of China. And worse, he did it alone without the help of our allies. Those allies weren't going to help because Trump also put tariffs on them or threatened tarrifs!
2
@concernedliberal4453 Sure he left the majority of them in place but they did nothing to help the situation when others didn't get on board. It's politically hard to get rid of something once it's in place -- you should know, tha'ts why your orange didn't get rid of Obamacare.
2
@fra604 It's his way of telling us he is alt right.
2
and you ignore they privatized a lot of public industries, didn’t use a command economy, by your dumb definition, most countries today are socialist or communist
2
And those over 50 are mostly Gen X at this point
2
@caspermac yes, the research on universities literally show the US universities are among the top in the world. The 3 most popular ranking have between 30-40 of the top 100 universities in the US with only a handful in China. So, why are you being so ignorant about this? This video even discussed one such ranking — are stupid enough to say the the these rankings don’t show US dominating when the video literally describes one of those rankings

China sided with evil, evil is losing, China is not trying to repair their image for siding with evil. China (like Russia) thought the war would be over in days or weeks which would allow China to benefit with a Russian quick win. China has further cemented itself as a nation that cannot be trusted by the international community. Chinas support for Russia has alienated China further. It backfired terribly for Beijing.
2
Economy is mixed but inflation is indeed an issue. That is a big driver of the unpopularity but also the major factor is the polarization of politics. Biden is one of the lowest approval but trump was one as well and Obama was below average approval. The approval from opposition party voters is shrinking and shrinking meaning almost all the approval is coming from your own party. Biden is under 40%, Trump was mostly around 42%, Obama was mostly 45% but go back to Clinton and he was often around 60%. Reagan was often above 60%.
2
@jeffs4483 why do you defend authoritarian leftist regimes? So what if 10 or so other leftist authoritarian leaders in Latin America defend Castillo, does that make it right? All that proves is how terrible LATAM leaders are.. and the voters in LATAM.
2
"As any other country, China will act in self-interest " Sure, but that seems like an excuse for any self-interest. Their interest are dangerous to the world which is also why it shouldn't have been a surprised they didn't remain neutral. >While I don‘t expect the US to decline to a point where the Chinese and Russians can overtake the US, the US‘ influence will be challenged. Not just from the Russians and Chinese but potentially from the Europeans themselves, especially when you look at China. Europe will be the real challenger but that's good. China and Russia will have trouble actually making serious allies and what Russia has done in Ukraine and how China has acted towards Europe and others in East Asia, it actually strengthened 'the west'. What China and Russia are doing are driving more countries to strengthen their relationship with the US and/or west. Vietnam & Phillipines but you can see concerns about China from Malaysia and Indonesia as well which will only move them more towards the west. But there will be a collection of countries that will join Rus-CN, mostly a few authoritarian middle east and authoritarian African countries.
2
@JordanHarbingerShow that is their tactic and it’s easy to spot. They keep moving goal posts or they state false info disguised as factual then move to another talking point while you fact check their claim. Rinse and repeat. No surprise that I was in another discussion with him in another chain of comments and he wouldn’t acknowledge what’s going on in Xinjiang. Same thing happened with the other guy in this thread defending China, ChinaSongsCollection. These “people” operate exactly the same with the same tactics.
2
@JordanHarbingerShow but Afghanistan and Iraq and Syria and slavery and black lives matters and corporate media!! Don’t you see, these are the reasons why China is better!!….they love their whataboutism as much as they love denying anything horrible is going on in Xinjiang.
2
@JordanHarbingerShow you’re interview with Clint watts (former fbi?) and laowhy (c-milk, Matt) are very relevant to this here. I follow plenty of YouTubers that engage in either world politics or global information such as this Channel, real life lore and Polymatter among others. If the topic is China, it gets flooded by the same types defending China and not once have any of them been able to acknowledge what’s going on in Xinjiang. It seems like it’s a playbook they are all using and likely many are paid by the CCP to influence the discussions or they are drones that watch CCP media then repeat what the CCP says. But the fact they are unable to make any criticism of China and use the same talking points suggests it’s mostly coordinated, at least the obvious pro PRC commentators.
2
@JordanHarbingerShow it’s the same thing and actually worse on Reddit. It’s full of so many CCP $hi||s using the same tactics as those on YT. On Reddit, those Wvumaos are also joined by edgy anti US crowd or tankies — the difference is easy to spot be used the Wvumao states only positive things about China but won’t acknowledge the bad parts of the Chinese government while tankies will openly admit some of Chinas bad such as oppression of the people but they defend it by saying it’s just as bad in the west. The vvumao will state “Chinas isn’t oppressive. The govt controls the media to protect the people from false information”. The tankie or Edgy anti west redditor would say “yeah, It sucks China does censor a lot of stuff but the west is just as bad with censorship and the corporate media also lies to you”. I don’t understand they the CCP $hi||s can’t at least fake some criticism of China — it’s such a dead giveaway when they defend everything about China and the CCP.
2
@JordanHarbingerShow there is one YouTube user (agapp11able) that I saw frequently defend everything about China and when we traded sources on Uyghurs, he used Chinese state media as a source and some random Twitter account that had a picture of a map that was proof no g8noc1de in Xinjiang. I gave him sources and he dismissed it all because of western bias even when one of my sources (ASPI) actually had picture and video evidence of China staging videos such as those he showed me from Chinese state media. I googled his username and found out he’s from Russia and almost all his comments online are defending China or Russia even in remote forums like a Kazakhstan website. He too is unable to criticize either China or Russia — not even one criticism when I asked him to prove he’s not paid. He has since deleted a lot of his comments because I caught him lying — he stated in YT he was Ukrainian (then went on to criticize Ukraine in a video about Russia invading Ukraine) but elsewhere he stated he was Russian and he lives in Russia. Caught him on that and he’s deleted some of his comments. Russia and China are certainly working hard to control the public narrative.
2
@JordanHarbingerShow YT removes the most innocent comments. And there is no way of telling what triggered it
2
I think a lot of people here don’t get this is an old joke
2
@bestbuilder7833 ”not true anymore” yet study after study says the caste system is still a big impact
2
@MessiahManiac Indian nationalist defending the caste by Saying it doesn’t exist. If people aren’t marrying outside of their caste, it means the caste system is still having a huge impact even if not “official”.
2
@PaulStewartAviation the trade was handled in a horrible way going unilaterally and too quickly but now with other countries joining and now that we have seen how Xi is a threat, the trade war is a positive now. Closer economic ties with India and Vietnam are needed. Thailand too. I believe the US is the largest export market for all and i know for Vietnam it’s not even close — over 30% of exports are to the US. That means they are slowly replacing some of Chinas production.
2
@roderickwhitehead serious, help me understand people like you. You complain people don’t want honest discussions but yet you support the biggest liar, Trump. How can you hold such an opinion when you are the worst offender?
2
Some worse than others though. Northern Europe has some of the least and Latin America and Africa among the worst.
2
What makes you say that most people here want japan to go to war with China? That’s what they tell you see see pee news? If you cared about China you wouldn’t defend Chinas aggression or human rights abuses.
2
But China with concentration camps of Uyghurs aren’t racist?
2
@tawandamachona4481 Wumao won’t acknowledge genocide and concentration camps in Xinjiang China. What a surprise!! The point is to demonstrate what China is asking of its loan recipients but a wumao isn’t allowed to acknowledge the concentration camps and genocide.
2
@tawandamachona4481 wow, typical wumao can’t even acknowledge that China has concentration camps as part of a genocide. Why can’t you acknowledge it? It’s highly relevant since the video pointed out that most of the countries defending Chinas concentration camps were from Africa. But a wumao (CCP shill) like you isn’t allowed to acknowledge the concentration camps.
2
Did you even watch the video? It’s South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Australia and India which were all the focus of the video
2
@HelloPenguinYT what?
2
Chí Phèo nguyễn communism only exist now in North Korea and somewhat in Cuba you uneducated troll. In North Korea, lots of people die including millions just 20-25yrs ago and thousands again in the 2000’s from starvation
2
Awawawa CM trade is vital — yet, communist countries practiced protectionism among themselves and their allies. China, India and USSR are 3 most resource heavy nation and they traded mostly among themselves and yet they failed? Lol, what was your point?
2
@jayyy3456 hey wumao, you do realize that western loans usually come with stipulations of these authoritarian dictators making democracy reforms while Chinas loans with the strings attached of defending Chinas concentration camps and genocide. Let me guess — you don’t believe the Uighurs are being genocided via concentration camps?
2
@jayyy3456 wow, you just keep repeating CCP talking points with whataboutism!! Ok, don’t want to call it genocide, do you agree it’s cultural genocide? And do you agree they have concentration camps of innocent Muslims? It’s obvios a wumao like you can’t acknowledge any of that but now others can see your a wumao (CCP shill).
2
@jayyy3456 lol, wumao CCP shill isn’t allowed to say the concentration camps or genocide exist in Xinjiang but you are programmed to say hate crimes against Muslims exist in the west. Thanks for making it obvious.
2
Yup. Terrible business person, great conman
2
Johnson Li how much Beijing pay you?
2
Johnson Li many countries that previously had tough Covid measures and handled it well have since opened up. Covid isn’t going anywhere and that’s why there are so many cases in China now. But you would rather continue zero Covid for 10 more years because Winnie the Pooh told you
2
Johnson Li China has eased up on Covid? You mean this week after protests where people are getting arrested and many have to hold a blank white paper to hopefully avoid be arrested?
2
Johnson Li why is that Taiwan and Australia and New Zealand were able to open up a while ago with low number of deaths but your glorious china can’t? Seems like CCP just wants to take this opportunity to enslave the people more by passing more draconian measures that will keep people in check.
2
Why süpp0rt évíl? Why süpp0rt the governments of Chna & Rüs?
2
Several authoritarian leftist in LATAM are defending Castillo too. Horrible. Includes the new Colombian president Petro.
2
@P4DR And those conditions weren't met. Therefore, the congress was able to remove him from power. They followed the constitution. So what's your point? Is your point that you will defend terrible leaders so long as they are leftist?
2
@J_X999 Japan has failed to switch? Maybe because the AI you mention isn’t advance enough to do what you say it will do? Low labor productivity is exactly why Japan would be using the AI if it was as good as you say
2
@J_X999 I don’t care about Japan in this context. I’m simply pointing out that if AI were that good, other countries and especially those with demographic issues AND high wages would be on it as soon as AI was the solution you describe. I brought up Chinas declining GDP growth to demonstrate that AI isn’t remotely close to the solution you describe
2
@drumpfdon760 uh, what does the fact that Taiwanese and HKers originally being Han Chinese mean that oppression is okay? It’s like arguing that the UK can take back or oppress any country that has people of British descent
2
@drumpfdon760 you like the west Taiwan, right?
2
@J_X999 you might be overestimating AI? That’s an understatement. Maybe in the future it becomes that productive but if it becomes that productive I see japan and South Korea and other nations with much higher labor costs than China and with similar demographic issues all joining the AI path. I think you’re missing my main point — I’m saying growth is all relative. So while China can avoid the complete stagnation (0% gdp growth) that Japan saw (AI wasn’t viable in the 90’s), it will still see declining growth relative to other countries. For example, without AI china might have 2% gdp growth but with AI, it might 4%. But that 2% boost from AI will also be seen by japan and South Korea and whoever.
