The government should be paying the deed holders.

@B.D.F. The government approved the transaction. If the government wants to give it back to the indigenous population, the government has to compensate the holders of the deed.

@justaguy6100 you mentioned you live on land that was in Caddo nation and an agreement was made? Lol, those agreements were usually made with the threat of a gun. All Lands In the Americas were stolen even if they were agreements because those agreements usually came with threats to take the land if you didn’t sell.

@justaguy6100 I don’t believe you that you just happen to live in the place where there were honest negotiations that didn’t arise from threat of harm but if true, the main point is you are arguing that 95% of Americans should turnover their property to native Americans. Almost all lands were taken directly by force or threat of force

@FBarbarian 95% of lands in the new world were taken by force or threat of force so these people are saying give it all back, including the homes they live on
