With all the corruption in resource heavy nations in Africa, Botswana really shines in their ability to turn natural resources into actual financial benefit for the people

"This is pretty old news, it's just becoming more apparent." I would say in the past it was obvious it was headed to this and now we are finally seeing the housing market and possibly banking sector crash. How big of a crash depends on how the government handles it. "The key to China's economical growth is real estate and other construction projects, it will most likely be their downfall as well." This is why the government hasn't done too much about it for years because they got greedy just like US govt turned a blind eye to bubble in early 2000's. But in China, housing market is (was) more than double the % of GDP as it is in the US.

Except they willingly go and they aren’t held prisoners. But yeah, same difference, right?

@Hahaha41241 10’s of thousands who are resorting to this in recent weeks in a country with an iron fist. If u aren’t govt worker of China, you can clearly see this is a sign of a major problem unfolding. How many more are on the verge of taking these steps? And or how many more have started this process but it isn’t reported?

Is this a CCP statement?

Good luck finding a Chinese citizen in China reporting on troubles that are political like this. You think that’s possible? You aren’t understanding the issue. Tens of thousands already withholding are just those confirmed who have got to this situation where they made that decision. 50,000 could mean another 50,000 ready to do the same in the coming weeks. There are bank runs in henan and housing prices are beginning to decline so all of this points to possible housing crash and possible banking crash. How bad it is will depend on how the government handles it.

It's headed for a crash. How big of a crash will depend on how the government handles it but it seems certain to have a housing and possibly banking crash.
