Why two different pronunciations of Belarus? Bel-ah-rus and Be-la-rus.

When it’s this peaceful, this mutual and were not long unified as one, I do agree separate and not collapse. Collapse to me means violent or where one side was trying to force the other the stay.

@tedwojtasik8781 why is ww1 primarily the fault of Germany? Ww1 wasn’t as simple as ww2 where it’s clear one country is main reason for the war.
25
@kaliningradtoczechrepublic8162 There are always political reasons to not or do recognize a genocide. Of course people will argue from the opposite side of this reason but IMO they didn't recognize it for fear it will upset Russia too much but now that the relationship is broken, there's no reason to hold France and others back. But at the same time, some countries might fear their own past will be subject to the same. It's complicated is what I'm saying.
15
@tedwojtasik8781 "I simply stated Wilhelm was responsible for the deaths of 2+ million German soldiers" This is suggesting he started the war. It's not that simple, lots of nations started the war. "FDR is responsible for the deaths of 500,000 American soldiers". That seems really harsh on FDR and would suggest FDR started the war..

FREE TIBET! REE XINJIANG! FREE HONG KONG!

@arbendit4348 Adolph didn’t want war — just to take Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland and maybe eventually get rid of Soviets. But no war
12
Alexander the Great looked up to Cyrus the Great. Julius Caesar and Romans in general looked up to Alexander the Great. Afterwards, Europeans would layer look up to Julius and Augustus Caesar.

@jonoc3729 your leaving out that Germany invaded Austria before the referendum. You make it seem like the people and government wanted unification in 1938 without influence by Germany. Germany forced out the leader of Austria and then invaded before the referendum. There was support for unification but unlike 1919 or previous attempts of unification, the will to unified with the new government in charge of Germany (N*zi) wasn’t as strong which is why Germany invaded.
11
@jonoc3729 the problem with your first post is you saying “they saw Austria and Germany as they same nation”. That’s a bit strong of wording but the gist of your comment is correct but you put the emphasizes on the wrong part. Main factor was not annoying Hitler and they where less concern with this because of the similar people group
9
@malfeasance62 It actually does fit the definition. It really hinges on if one believes there is intention. And considering the purposeful actions to not help and make it harder on Ukrainians, I would say it fits. You probably will say since you are defending Ruzzia right now in other comments. This channel has a video discussing all the actions that were part of the Holodomor.
9
@raptor4840 yeah, they often mispronounce words that are not hard to pronounce of switch pronunciation in the same video. Maybe it’s a joke? Regarding the edits, any examples you remember? I haven’t noticed them or didn’t know they were edits
8
Do Canadians pronounce peninsula like “peninSHula”? Narrator has American sounding accent but said peninsula like Brit’s and Aussies
8
@jonoc3729 I’m pointing out you are leaving out very important information. It’s not that you stated false things it’s that you are leaving important details out
7
@hughjass1044 yeah, this is a 10 min video. They can cover everything OP said and what’s covered in the video in 10 min. I think OverSimplified covered the whole revolution — over TWO episodes— for a total of 45-60 minutes!
7
@kasadam85 times have changed and what Japan and Germany did back then isn’t tolerated but China today is the modern day equivalent of Japan in early 1900’s. They have concentration camps, they are oppressing people, and they are looking to take territory by forces such as the South China Sea
6
@Yangpeiling-de-zhangfu hey everyone, literally a paid CCP troll here. Completely denying anything bad is happening to Uighurs. Not even bothered to change username to something that isn’t in Chinese
6
@poutine9497 I see your hidden comment now. I was right, you defend the conc camps of Uyghurs. What a shock!
6
@JRBDWD you can see people celebrating but that doesn’t mean it’s the majority. And the government certainly didn’t want it so that’s why Germany rolled an army in. Imagine Russia going into eastern Ukraine and just taking it because there is support there….wait a minute.
6
Kings and Generals just released a video on Ibn Fadhlan!! What’s going on?
5
@dann6067 Tony Blair and W Bush aren’t leaders anymore. China is CURRENTLY undertaking a genocide and all I see online is tankies and wumaos use whataboutism to defend the horrible genocide in Xinjiang.
5
@Hallstyle lol, wumao confirmed. You just said concentration camps, cultural genocide, and overall oppression of Uighurs is okay because US historical treated black peoples bad. That’s literally the CCP talking point.
5
@regizeelement8511 you’re blaming tens Of millions starving to death in China the millions being killed in a cultural revolution on the US/West when Mao was selling food to USSR instead of keeping it at home, implemented horrible agricultural policies that dropped food output, and literally called for the cultural revolution? Why are there so many wumaos?
5
@Hallstyle ok, then clarify and say that it’s horrible that China has concentration camps and committing a genocide in 2021. But you didn’t — instead you said you aren’t making any judgment? Hmmm..like a wumao. Refuse to acknowledge the atrocity while deflecting from that atrocity. I bet you will refuse to acknowledge the atrocity again (without using more whataboutism).
5
@poutine9497 “un went (to Xinjiang) and said it’s okay”. That’s why that individual that went to Xinjiang said there crimes against humanity in Xinjiang? Here are your .50 yuan. 🪙
5
@poutine9497 and you defend CCP because you claim some protesters were stabbing law enforcers — ignoring that law enforcers shot many unarmed people and killed at least one? Ignoring that law enforcers started the violence?
5
@JRBDWD Ukrainians in the east also celebrated. Are you you to lie that Ukrainian population in the east aren’t in support of Russia? At this point it’s obvious you will lie about Russia / Ukriane and won’t accept the truth
5
@malfeasance62 Ukraine was subject to unreasonably higher grain quotas, when compared to the rest of the USSR. The food was taken out of Ukraine. According to a Centre for Economic Policy Research paper published in 2021 by Andrei Markevich, Natalya Naumenko, and Nancy Qian, regions with higher Ukrainian population shares were struck harder with centrally planned policies corresponding to famine such as increased procurement rate, and Ukrainian populated areas were given lower numbers of tractors which the paper argues demonstrates that ethnic discrimination across the board was centrally planned, ultimately concluding that 92% of famine deaths in Ukraine alone along with 77% of famine deaths in Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus combined can be explained by systematic bias against Ukrainians. Farmers were not only deprived of their properties but a large swath of these were also exiled in Siberia with no means of survival. Those who were left behind and attempted to escape the zones of famine were ordered to be sh0t
5
@kkgc5760 what the hell? You’re saying Phillipines is trying to take advantage of China?! You a wumao? Japan has had power for a while since they became rich in it the 70’s but they aren’t nor behaved like China since then. Same with Germany post ww2. China becoming more powerful while also becoming more Evil with concentration camps and attempts to steal South China Sea by force isnt what all countries do as they wealthier and more powerful today. That’s what they USE to do. China is behaving like a 19th century power in the 21st century
5
@dann6067 “copium”/“cope”. Huh, that’s what all the wumaos say online. You just confirmed your a wumao
4
@LarryWater you a wumao too? Or can you admit that China is currently committing an atrocity with concentration camps and a genocide in Xinjiang?
4
@makinoxin393 what’s the purpose of genocide of Uighurs? What’s the purpose of the genocide of the Jews? Or the Armenians? It’s for punishment and control of those people. Is that okay for you?
4
@LarryWater you’re not a wumao but all you did was say Uighurs are being treated somewhat ok? Lol. You think concentration camps are perfectly fine?
4
@LarryWater wumao, what’s your source that millions that have been sent to the concentration camps are ETIM? You have a source or made it up? And to have millions arrested as ETIM when only 12 million Muslims live in that region?!?!
4
@jiangdaon it’s funny how these videos bring out the 五毛 every time. Gotta earn that .50 yuan
4
This channel is hilarious with the pronunciation of countries. One of the videos was about Belarus and they pronounced it at least 2 different ways in the same video!
4
European forces had much better weapons and much better fighting techniques. China before this had 100 years of stagnation- little innovation and growth. China was much more powerful than their neighbors and bullied them so they didn’t feel the need to improve as much as say the Europeans that were constantly at war with each other.
4
@jota9584 people like to conflate dictatorships with fascism
3
@goodluck250 yeah, that’s sounds right historically though not true in my opinion under the CCP. The “Chinese culture” continued for thousands of years because if a non Han group conquered china, that group would assimilate or accept much of Chinese culture and modify it only slightly. Europe in contrast has various religious differences, various languages, various groups of somewhat similar population sizes, etc. And before nationalism started becoming popular in the 1800’s, the people did not care much about who took over so long as they can practice their Christian beliefs. Roman culture disappeared in 1453 because a group took over that was wildly different and which religion was ultra important — the Muslims Turks. The lack of one dominant religion that is a deep part of one’s identity such as the Abrahamic religions (Islam Christianity Judaism) is a major reason why Chinese continued as a culture. That divide in Europe and Middle East / Central Asia lead to many cultural changes.
3
@LarryWater wumao, you’re saying chinas concentration camps are for the benefit of the Muslims?!? Lol. What’s your source? Chinese state media?
3
@lung8143 Wumao, do they have concentration camps of millions of Hans? Have about 20% of Han Chinese been sent to concentration camps in China? Because millions (likely over 2 million) of the 12 million muslims in Xinjiang have been sent to camps. The remainder are being threatened to be sent to camps unless they make themselves more Han.
3
@lung8143 Wumao, When you say "CPC" instead of 'CCP', you already tell me yourea wumao. LOL. The Chinese communist party absolutely hates the 'CCP' title and have actively looked to get others to say 'CPC' instead of CCP. You just outed yourself as a wumao.
3
@lung8143 if the CCP treats the Minorites so well, why do Mongolians in Inner Mongolia not want to be part of China, why do Muslims in Xinjiang not want to be part of China, why do Tibetans not want to be part of China? Hmm…..what’s you’re answer, wumao?
3
@lung8143 "who u calling wumao"...um, the wumao literally repeating the CCP talking points? "the mongols in inner mongolia that don't wanna be a part of China, tell me, is there mass support?" There have been multiple protests against the CCP such as 2020, 1981 and many others. But the CCP moved in a bunch of Hans over time to make Mongolians the minority -- Mongols are now only 17% of the population. Same thing they are doing in Xinjiang where the Han population was 5% in 1950 and now about 40%+ are Han in Xinjiang. Typical methods used by brutal CCP to wipe away a culture. "And PLUS, do you not know that Tibet expanded under the CCP?" Funny...they wanted independence within a few years of being incorporated into the CCP China. They've wanted out since then -- but of course, CCP is brutal and will have none of it. Instead, they are moving in Han to wipe away the Tibetan culture.
3
@lung8143 In youre very long posts -- did you confirm there are concentration camps in Xinjiang? Can you tell me your favorite VPN to get around the great firewall and can you tell me what your sources are on news about Xinjiang?
3
@brandonlyon730 they will say the social credit system is not real and never implemented— but Chinese state media CGTV literally has a video from 2 years ago describing some of the details of the system and it’s been introduced in some areas. It’s not National but it is being used and might be expanded nationally. They will blame HK oppression in the protesters and say it was to bring peace to HK or they will say “it’s just fair that they are also under the same laws as China”. If you ever go to Reddit, these wumaos are everywhere.
3
Before World War One there was estimated 1.8 to 2 million Greeks living in the Ottoman Empire
3
Upvote this comment if you are also seeing many Wumaos here and any YouTube videos about China. Easy to spot them — they will defend the concentration camps and cultural genocide of Uighurs, deflect on any wrong doings of the CCP by pointing to bad stuff from other countries, and just overall look to justify the oppression of the CCP and their attempts to steal the South China Sea.
3
@timothygibney159 I'm sure the water usage one of the factors but I can't imagine it was the only big factor.
3
@homaisen1585 "so it was okay for Europeans to commit massacres", no you have it backwards. He's saying that China today haivng issues with the west because 150 years ago is a joke because China conquered and massacred as well but more importantly, they are today oppressing mass number of people including conc camps of Uyghurs and Muslims.
