In Islamic law, we have something called zakaat, in which everyone who is considered wealthy upon owning a fixed amount or more than that fixed amount of wealth has to donate 2.5% every single year to the poor. And when applied justly, and everyone participated, there would be no one suffering due to poverty. And apart from that we are supposed to watch out for family and friends and neighbours in need, and people in distress overseas according to our capabilities, and Allah promises the removal of ailments and problems and ample provision and reward in Paradise. May Allah help us all to practice and bless us all with means of livelihood and good health. May Allah protect everyone from being dependent upon an unjust state, and government
