I looked at Gaza from the window of my heart And saw the destruction of precious lives Flattened homes and shattered dreams But when my gaze fell upon the sorrowfull eyes I saw the overwhelming calm And acceptance of God's decree The people here were true believers Valiant, courageous, resilient and faithful But when I turned to look the other way There was utter despondency and fear For these people had waged a war against Allah The most powerful and Just Lord of the Worlds Then I looked towards the Muslim leaders But they had sand in their eyes And their hands were tied As the Ummah awakens...
