  1. He’s a jerk for not taking her back to the car. Someone who is not familiar with the area, not use to the heat. He acted like he would not get another chance to go hiking there. However, if they had an argument, him going on with the bike would have been a way for him to calm down. Still, he should have known better for the reasons stated above. There is a good chance someone saw them arguing and followed her back towards the car. Knowing he was not with her anymore and saw his chance to approach her. It didn’t go the way he thought it would and took her water, sent her in the wrong direction. Plan was to come back and “rescue” her but it didn’t work out that way and the guy left before being seen with her.

  2. It was solved - she didn’t die of foul play or any trauma. She died from heat exposure. It’s ruled accidental. There was no sign of a struggle and Nothing in her system says she was drugged. There is no evidence pointing to him. He is a jerk for not turning back around to make sure she got back okay. He should have known someone who is not use to the heat, was ill prepared, not familiar with the area should not have been alone. He should have walked her back to the car.
