Yes it is. The way the tomb was when it was opened was documented and photographed. The paints and gold on the walls can be reproduced with the same ingredients and reapplied. The art becomes refreshed much like artists refreshing a painting. As long as they do not replace the actual wall or change the scenes it’s it’s still considered to be the original work. Much like touching up the Sistine Chapel. It’s still Michelangelo’s work.

Shanya Baker - no it’s not. When they went in to the tomb the first time they noted that the chamber looked as if it had just been painted. It was the exposure to the outside, people touching it and then the graffiti that made it look old. But when they opened it. It looked new.
