  2. Of course your medication is not going to work. Charcoal is used to absorb it in cases of over dose or poison. I used it when my dog ate rat poison. It saved her life. To eat it on a regular bases though would leave it in my system for a long time. I would not even be able to use aspirin for a headache let alone high blood pressure, insulin or over the counter allergy medication.
