  1. She does need to be punished for going in to someone else’s yard, for taking something that does not belong to you. It’s the cost of the dog that makes it such a big deal. Any other mutt she would be given a slap on the wrist. I suggest she do community service at a shelter. Cleaning poop and feeding the animals is both a punishment and joy. She gets to be around animals but has to do the yucky stuff. Either that or outside picking up trash after school. Unless she has a history of being in trouble, I don’t see she should have to be in Juvy.
