Parents, Teach your kids to stand up and say NO. People have tried to get me to do things at new jobs. The things they wanted me to do were dangerous and pointless. I told them No. I was told I didn’t know how to have fun. I didn’t know how to be part of a team. Because of those comments people who were with me, also new, did the task. One broke her wrist another their nose. The one person, the leader of this Hazing just stood there and laughed calling them idiots but still better than me cause I refused to join in the fun. Well I don’t have a crooked nose or a pin in my wrist for life. The leader was fired for stealing from the company.! Teach your kids that if it feels wrong, don’t do it. Sometimes standing up to these people is more what the fraternity wants then the ones who go with the flow. And if they don’t get in, so what. It is just a small portion of their life. Being scared for life is not worth it. They should not define you.
