Something more was going on. How does the man know this Dad isn’t going to pay fir the damage to his car already? If they both got out to inspect each other’s damage - Did the Bat guy want cash on the spot? This might be more of a scam to get money and since it didn’t work he took a bat to the man’s car. In which case, he is going to do this again.
