That’s how I saw it play out too. While out “camping” they also hired a lawyer. Who gets a lawyer before the cops come calling? Before there is even an investigation? Someone who already knows what has happened.

I was wondering the same thing! With the kids being young. Maybe a training video for next time? It’s weird.

What the government has to do is follow where they sent the money. It was all direct deposit. That means they can find the bank where the accounts were set up. Find out who opened them (ID has to be shown) the bank had the information. Then the bank had to have wired it somewhere else. At anytime anyone who wrote a check or used the debt card there is a record. A store has surveillance video. You can then find the person who used the card. Arrest them and hope they don’t want to go to jail and have them turn over everyone else involved. At any time it leads to the person who took at the loan, then and only then, should they be left on the hook. I say this because it was pointed out to the government when they started the program about the fraud and they said they will worry about that later. Well, now it’s later and it is on the government to show that these people took out the loans. Just because they have a computer signed loan doesn’t mean this person took out the money. The government didn’t follow its own rules. Now they have to take these extra steps.

He doesn’t report her missing, comes home without her, still does not let the family know what happened (why he came home alone), refuses to help in locating her or talk to the police to give them a place to start looking for her, even through his lawyer. I don’t see this going well for him in court. Then again, he could just be trying to stay out of jail for as long as possible like Lori Vallo - Daybell.

Lawyers will tell you to stay clear of such things. They may feel compelled to answer a question that leads to more questions that can be used against them in court. But it could also be a sign of respect, they know their presence would be about them and Brian instead of Gabby. Then again, they may not have care much about her. Seeing as they didn’t keep in contact with the parents nor did they let them know Gabby didn’t come home. From what I can gather from Gabby’s mother, she started most conversations with Brians Mother not the other way around. If her Mom didn’t ask Brians Mom a question she had Gabby ask for her to get an answer. The police are going to leave his parents free in hopes that Brian will contact them or them him. If it’s the latter then the police can arrest them cause that would mean they know where he is.

@gabbygriggs - to be fair, the FBI does not have to get Involved in most missing person cases. They are not federal crimes, they did not cross state lines. So it would be the divers found all the missing people for the local cops. As for the shut down, they will get back pay if they keep working. So they are going to get paid.
3
Sounds nice but then you have to understand the FBI is working on more than one case at a time where DOG is just working this case.
3
That explains all the sightings, in that area.

@justincase2071 - he has experience in the outdoors. They lived 2 Months in the van. The cops will get him when he comes to town for medical supplies, aspirin and or water purification tablets. Or When people start reporting their cabins or campsites have been broken into.
2
@rodrunion8899 - the comment was how the divers are finding more missing persons cases then the FBI. I just said in those cases the FBI wouldn’t have been involved cause they did not cross state lines. The local cops would be the ones who missed the bodies in the water.

The reason why you can't do this is because they effect emergency vehicles. My block got small round about a installed at the corners, took 2 years to study and then they came in. The round about were suppose to be the better choice to speed bumps. Ha! The speeders now race around them and time themselves at least once a week, between midnight and 6 am.

What the news needs to do is ask everyone with a cabin in the swamp or around the camp grounds to check them. See if anything is missing/disturbed. Those empty cabins are where he is holed up. So people check them and report break ins to narrow down the search areas.

You know lawyers only have to tell the truth in court. They do not have to tell the cops anything even if they know where he is under client/council privilege. As long as they don’t know he is about to commit a crime they can lie. It’s how they can give their client the best protection under the law. Which is what they are required to do.

So what would have happened if he fought back? If he just started swinging into the back to get this person off him? Would it be him that goes to jail? No she shouldn’t be able to plea down to a misdemeanor anything. She assaulted him. She left a scar on him. She needs more than probation for 18 months. And what treatment is she getting? Anger management, Alzheimer’s, drug treatments? She can start them in jail. After 3 -6 months she can then get parole for the rest of it along with her treatment. As the victim, he should have been given some say.

No is addressing the black mold. That house is uninhabitable and it will be the home owner who gets sued not the HOA. As for clean up? The house needs to be torn down and rebuilt and that is not the HOAs fault.

This sounds like the builder has a grudge. He builds a home meaning a lot of noise and inconvenience with work vehicles. He builds too close to someone, he now is going to tear it down with more construction noise and vehicles only to build again. It’s 1 house, and he is spending a lot of money on it. Nothing fancy yet, he has the money to do this. This is someone’s payback.
1
@ethanlculver - the cops can only ping a phone if they know which one it is. They need a warrant for just that phone. They can’t just through a net and hope for the best.

Bronze Wolf - how do you thing the area got settled? People know how to survive a swamp. If you’ve been in an area long enough, you know how to avoid people.
1
@justincase2071 - it happens more than not. How do you think this country got settled? People adapted and learned how to survive. He has some experience and it is better than most. This guy knows how to camp, hike, fish. Last year he spent a few weeks on the Appellation trail by himself. That’s not an easy trail, granted there are easy spots but all in all they tell you to have some experience before traveling it. However he does this mostly in spring / summer time. I don’t think he can handle the winter. Which is why I think he will be scoping out cabins in the swamp/woods now.
1
@Athlete1990 - that is not what I’m saying at all. I’m saying the FBI would not be involved in the search for missing people that the divers found. Since THOSE people did not cross state lines. It was in response to someone else’s comment. The FBI would be involved in this case, as you said, the body was found on federal land. The recovery divers that have found 15/18 people this year alone found them not far from their homes. They never crossed state lines. The bodies were found in state or private land as such they would not get involved. The not finding those bodies is on the local police and not the Feds.

In the video you can see the force was not excessive as it took many attempts o bring him down and keep him there for the police. It would have been excessive had the old man kept hitting him once he stopped trying to escape.

I like this briefing, it satisfies my curiosity. However, finding a jury to be unbiased for their trial will be near impossible. He has laid out his case without hearing the other side. A prosecutor may be able to get them a mistrial because of this briefing. They will be out awaiting a new trial and they will run. They will commit more crimes while on the run.
1
KatelynVanH - this guy has been in and out of the system. He knows how to play it. I don’t see him doing that. His brother might though. I see him turning on his brother in a plea deal.
1
I’m happy he was not hurt. I guess it being so close after Christmas they figured his parent(s) would have bought him something expensive like a new phone, computer. That’s why he took the bag and left him alone.

@gavin4848 - it’s TV so yep.

Oh man, wait till they see my split level. My fireplace is in the living room but it still looks like a basement to me. The bedrooms and kitchen are upstairs. You enter the home at the stair landing and must climb or step down a stair in order to get in the home. According to the realtor, there is no basement. Even thought the Living room is under the ground.

I would like to know if she quit or was fired over this? If she was fired she can sue for her job back plus back pay and no loss in seniority. If she quit she can sue the DEA for Los of wages because of their actions. She probably will not get her job back though.

The home owner said it wasn’t even in the list. So she did check. There would have been no letter to send to the insurance company to fix this and the homeowner would have been canceled if it wasn’t for the news coverage. In other words the homeowner did everything right but would have had no proof. The advice you gave, useless.
1
It’s a federal crime as long as the body was found on federal land. The jurisdiction is another matter. Is it The state where the body was found, the state where the person of interest is arrested in? If he is arrested in the same state as where the body was found, does it mean it goes to court (federal court) in that state? Or if he is found and arrested in Another state, can the feds then do a change of venue and try him in any federal courthouse in any state? Then if they do go to court are the parents then subjected to that states laws instead of Florida’s law that protects them?

So who calls the cops on 2 kids? If it was a school then that school should also be held accountable. They are suppose to know how to deal with children. If they can’t get ahold of the parents then the kids are forced to stay inside during recess. They clean the office, do homework, sit in a chair facing the wall. If they get up put them back in it. Keep it up till the parents come for their child. It sucks but that’s what they did back in the late 70’s and Early 80’s. Yes the school could spank a child but parents can opt out of that leavening the school to come up with other options. The exception being - it’s 5pm and no one has come for the child. That means the cops come and take them to CPS. Then the courts get involved for child abandonment. That does not seem the case hear though. The Chief said there was at least one instance that involved the cops own child. He said it was sustained. That means that they accepted that he did something to the child that the department said he could keep doing.

David Kaser - I have not found that to be the case. The teacher I know work with the parents to help them help their kids. All it takes is for the parent to make the effort. There is something more going on at this school that needs to be addressed. Wether it is bad management, untrained staff/volunteers, over worked/over welled teachers there is a problem at that school. Keep in mind that some schools can get away with having a staff that is not trained or not certified to be a teacher. They follow an accredited program. Judge Judy had a program about this. See the kid who was put in a closet. The principal had a high school diploma and the teacher a 2 year associate degree that took years to get. I hope this was not one of those schools but if it was it needs to be shut down. They give real teachers a bad name/rap.

Inept or crooked?

So the family moved out because of toxic mold then got called up for duty. They did not abandon the home if they were still paying on the mortgage and they then have to wait on the insurance to cover a rebuild so they could get rid of the mold. Well now they can get the money from the HOA and not bother their insurance company. The HOA stole their home without any form of payment and did what they wanted with it. That’s a criminal act and the members should be jailed as well as pay cash money for their crime in the form of the amount of the home. That means the owners can tear down their home and have it rebuilt any money left over they can use towards their mortgage. Their insurance premiums will not go up. If the tenant sues the home owner for any illnesses then the HOA should also pay them as well.
