I wonder if the news didn’t have so much footage, maybe just told the public it happened and end it with the mention of kids. A 5 second blip. When shooters stop getting this attention, potential shooters may stop, look for other ways (then killing people), to get the attention they crave.

I’m conflicted here. 1) the man was told to leave from a resident of the home. He didn’t. (Did it warrant deadly force?) 2) it was clear the man was not reaching for the rifle to take it away but more, get it out of my face! (Would he have used it if he got it away from the new partner?) It boils down to who escalated the situation? I think it was the new partner. It was a yelling match but there was no intent to break in, harm the home owners. The father had a right to be there and was expected. He was not trying to enter the home but he was standing up to the new guys threat when he brought out the rifle. He would not have bothered or dealt with him otherwise. The new guy escalated everything and when it didn’t go his way (have to show his women he can protect her, give her what she wants) shot and killed her biggest problem. He is thinking he is a hero. It has nothing to do with stand your ground. The new partner, killed the ild partner to make sure he didn’t come around there no more. That’s murder.

I’m sorry but that should be enough to kick her off the team. Both the parents attitude and the child’s should have consequences. Be kicked off the team and banded from all sports for the rest of the year. It doesn’t harm the child, it does however send a message that, that will not be tolerated.

Luckily both countries do not have a limitation on Murder. He can be tried in both countries for Murder and spend time in both jails. If he gets out of one, he is then sent to the other. Murder of the kids he might get 10-15 years as a life sentence here in the US. Not sure about Mexico. He will not have money to bribe the guards or other prisoners with through when he gets out here.

@bobsmoth-iv3sp - yes keep guns legal. I like knowing that I can protect myself from yahoos who are upset that no one pays enough attention to them so they will make you. Yep, I will protect myself from them or from anyone who wishes to harm me or mine. Cause let me tell you, violence happened long before guns came into existence. Or had you not heard about Cain and Abel? Maybe we should get rid of rocks, make them illegal too. But wait, England who banned hand guns didn’t end their violent crimes. They did with guns but then life injuries went up, the death rate remained the same.
