  1. Lithium-ion batteries are a damn place-holder until we have better materials that have been properly engineered for more-efficient electrical output. Like petroleum oil, it is NOT a technology that we need to be on for a very long time, but a way to transition from something more primitive to something profoundly greater, so that we as society may take a leap, rather than a slow, gradual rise.
