Comments by "Maria F." (@mariaf.6601) on "Is there a military reason behind the Nova Kakhovka disaster?" video.
I think it wouldn't have had the same effects.(so big, immediate and violent) 😏

No military background ? Have you got any argument?
5
Are there also unicorns in your story ?
5
The same goes for the whole war. To start the invasion and to continue is bringing Russia to the ruin, it is outside of the rational.
5
Why ?
5
@Princip666 No, not at all. What for ? 😁 You can present mathematical models for all the cases instead, please go ahead.
4
How ?
4
@cohomologygroup You need the statement of the perpetrators themselves then. 😃 As it comes to Ukrainians mining the dam - they for sure mined the road on the top of it, in theory could prepare total destruction too, but if you lose control over the object, I suppose you usually lose control over the charges and the means to set them off.
4
Ukrainians have no means to do it in a covert way. Similar to the gas pipeline.
4
You mean Russia can move their troops if needed ?
4
It doesn't make sense to analyse Ukrainian motives, because Ukrainians haven't got means to blow up the dam. Hope it helps.
4
@Princip666 That's my point, for me it's like madness, but perhaps what @RoninTF2011 wrote - a completely different mindset, where usual for me values are upside down.
4
It's 'Russian/s are "genius/es"'. Bringing Russia to the ruins by continuing the war.
4
What is *the lie here, pls?
3
Ukrainians have no means to blow up the dam, apart perhaps of Storm Shadow missile, but it looks that it wasn't here.
3
How "the other side" i.e. Ukraine could blow up the dam controlled by Russians ? How do you know UA army "is getting mauled" pls ? (it's only day 2, btw) and they want to attack across the river ? Clearly UA isn't losing. I suppose you agree that if colonel Putin hadn't attacked, those people wouldn't be dying.
3
The effect wouldn't be the same , not flood but water level rising gradually.
3
Have you listened to the video ? The fact Russians control the dam is the main reason, APN talked about various hypotheses 'how'.
3
Does Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin love you ?
3
@Princip666 The argument is just before / above your post. New glasses?
3
Agent 007 ? Noo What do you remember about Nord Stream ?
3
@dee-vee How about you take more than 1 sentence?
3
What are yours ?
3
Trying to damage sluice gates is not the same as "blow up the dam". How Ukraine could blow it up, according to you ?
3
@centurionoomae1543 Are you saying Putin is a puppet ?
2
Really ?
2
Agent 007 ? Noo 😎 All the war doesn't add up for Russia, but they stil continue , talking more and more fantasy scenarios...
2
"Only Ukraine" This is the reason why Russians were filling up the reservoir so water spilled over the top of the dam. smh 🙈🙉🙊
2
In reality Enerhodar is upstream ...
2
@stevebuckley7788 So no 'washing out' (what confused me) and Nova Kakhovka, that is downstream from Enerhodar, has no relation to it (or very little) I understand you mean the water will not stay in the reservoir / lake , but any preparation to narrow its flow will be visible and take days (drying the land even more time), there would be no surprise - the only hope Russia will not have reserve troops to bring reinforcements there?
2
Do you think that there were 2 sides that blew the dam up ? It's a pity that Russia isn't such a country, skeptical to invasions.
2
Except for Russian artillery and heavy equipment ... The reservoir was already full some time ago, the water was being accumulated. BTW, * in case you want to edit the post 😊
2
Russia built the dam ?? It looks that the war isn't in the interests of Russia , apart of one old man clinch of power, but Russia stil continues it.
2
How do you know "they didn't" ? Furthermore, Ukraine could only shell the surface of the dam (the road on it) to cripple Russian transports or the gates of the sluices, had no means to plan blowing it up. (Now there are StormShadow, but even Russia didn't report its use on the dam).
2
@Princip666 'There's a method in (t)his madness' And what are your arguments @Princip666 ?
2
Perhaps you could present your analysis, but it's barely impossible not to admit Russia did a lot to earn this opinion.
2
We know "you know", Vladimir. You post your slogans, dare to answer questions?
2
Have you got the information from the horse's mouth ?
1
What ?
1
@stevebuckley7788 I understood you wrote about Nova Kakhovka dam destruction - ( the water flows from Enerhodar area down to N.K. ) - what's the relation to plans to attack Enerhodar, according to you ? Now I'm not sure I understand the role of other dams in your perspective. You cannot 'wash out'
1
@stevebuckley7788 'dry up quickly' - how much time do you think ? (Assuming average early summer weather conditions ) 'good strategic situation' - I think it depends on other factors too and there is a lot of to see yet.
1
@stevebuckley7788 Thanks for your replies.
1
@stevebuckley7788 I think you're hmm... far too enthusiastic.
1
Ukrainians can cross the river north of the dam ?
1
@franciscorompana2985 in a month or two 1. Not now. 2. Depending on weather
1
It can - in the future, but will not be automatic.
1
The dynamics and effects of open dam are not that big as a dam blown up.
1
@TrabberShir Thanks. I didn't know that an open sluice could provoke undermining, I thought about small overtopping.
1
Are you an expert in the Law of Armed Conflicts ?
1
What it has to do to last night ? There was no HIMARS barrage (would have to be massive to destroy such a construction)
1
Water level may be, but the ground will stay wet and muddy long time ...
1
Mind pls Ukrainian (rocket) artillery fire is not able to destroy such a big structure, much bigger explosive charges are needed.
