  2.  @Truthorfib  Absolutely, there are so many factors all contributing, but the main one being overpopulation. It first worsened with the women's rights movement, which basically doubled the workforce competing for jobs, then the invention of the internet which you're right enables companies to outsource and also for anyone to compete for jobs anywhere in the world. Before it was just about competing for jobs locally in the newspaper (often no competition at all), or even before that, being connected to someone looking to hire through a letter... Look at the population rates though just over the last couple of decades, the explosion is absolutely shocking and only rising higher.
