  2. Way too many people in this world now. Extreme competition. Coupled with the invention of the internet which has made it possible for all those too many people to easily compete.

  3. Not applying yourself enough has nothing to do with it. Ghost jobs aka fake jobs, AI incorrectly screening out applicants, diversity hire preference etc. all has nothing to do with applying yourself.
