The case you’re referring to was simply the result of courts finding officers should not be held liable for failing to prevent crime. In this case dispatchers gave police inaccurate information, and the cops were then sued for not stopping the crime. You’re trying to make it sound like cops know they don’t have a legal duty to protect people, so can pick and choose if they want to help anyone. Not at all true.

  10. Most people don't know this but here a lot of firemen are also trained paramedics. This is because otherwise cities start to complain that firemen aren’t doing enough work just sitting around waiting for fires, and with the tax dollars people are paying they made them take on more work as paramedics.
