  1. Zandi predicted a similarly puny 3% drop in 2023 as well. Prices went up 4% instead. And , unfortunately for perma-renters, you need values to drop at least 5% each and every yeae just yo offset what you waste in rent. As the years go by and prices continue to rise, not drop, the hole youre in becomes exponentially deep and impossible to ever escape. "Waiting" has cost you a fortune.

  3.  @jsch9173  The people who have 3% mortgages are the most qualified and well capitalized buyers perhaps ever. People who own homes are happy to maintain their property it isn't considered a "burden: irs called pride of ownership. Something renters don't know anything about. Yet make no mistake your rent is paying for maintenance on your apartment and you are simultaneously making your landlord rich. Winning!

  7. You don't know what you're talking about. "High rates" have never crashed the market and a higher rate affects what you pay over time far more than a higher price does.
