  1. Ryan good quick synopsis. Keep in mind gaza and judea (the'west bank'- as in the west bank of jordan, following their illegal capture and annexation of it in 48) were occupied by Egypt and Jordan until the second war in 67. Neither Egypt nor Jordan offered them a state and palestnian nationalism wasnt yet a thing- it was created by Arafat at the bequest and interest of the Soviet Union who groomed him for the purpose, begining in 1964. He launched rockets into Israel and generally acted terribly from Jordan even though no palestiniam arabs were there. (Apart from 'Israeli Arabs' who make up 1/5 the population of Israel). Arafat was kicked out of Jordan in 72 after attempting to assasinate King Hussein. The borders with Israel were completely open from 67 onward and 'palestinians' mixed freely with Israelis inside Israel. Israel closed the borders 40 years later and built the wall following an Arafat initiated bloodbath that killed 1000 Israelis. Arafat having yet again just refused the state Israel offered the palestinians. The palestinian 'refugees' are the only refugees on the planet to have inherited the designation 3 and 4 generations from the event. This is a political manipulation designed to keep them fighting and lend their story legitimacy, but its a fraud as the refugee system does not work that way- after korea there were 3.1 million refugees, and 10 years later none, as they were settled into places they fled. That is the way its always done, except in this case, and it harms only the Palestinians themselves, because holding onto this prevents them from settling and move forward. As is the normal standard. Like most things about the generally accepted Palestinian narrative, it is a manipulation designed to serve the interests of those pulling the strings- namely the Soviet Union, the Arab League, and Iran. Read "russian footprints" by defected Soviet General Ion Mihai Pacepa, who had a direct hand in the manipulation of the Palestinian people through Arafat as well as several other Arab nations tied to the Soviet sphere of influence. The complete notes on the military were there to maximize the time they could spend on the citizens of the kibbutz. The proof is the 18 and 24 hour hostage and torture sessions they carried out on the women and children. If maximizing hostages were really the main goal they wouldn't have spend any time torturing and killing them in their own homes. They would have spent the time moving as many of them as possible back into Gaza until the military closed them down. These people are absolute animals.

The misuse of the label 'aparthied' means at very least this group is involved not just in protest against Israel but of indoctrination against it. Combining that with community support programs is a commonly used and very cynical tactic among Islamist groups, including Hamas and Isis, among others.

As an example, the founder of Human Rights Watch broke all ties with his organization and speaks against it, citing all kinds of problems and failures, one group of them specifically about its ridiculous treatment of Israel. Gaza has a blockade because 20 years ago a thousand Israelis died in yet another wave of uneccesary, Arafat initiated violence. Until then the borders had been wide open and Gazans moved freely in and out of Israel. (Despite constant suicide bombings etc by Soviet backed Arafat and his then small group of radicals. Mighty good of them) Gaza is also bordered with Egypt who also maintains a blockade, for the same reasons. I notice you (and all those like you) have nothing to say about that. Finally you fail to recognize a key issue- THE key issue, which is that the actual founding charter of the Gazan sovereign, Hamas, has as its stated goal the violent destruction of the state of Israel and the construction of an Islamist Republic on its ashes. None of your 'human rights' groups acknowledge this reality nor what it means for both Israelis and Palestinians alike. The acceptance of manipulated propeganda which was manufactured at the outset by the Soviets for that very purpose appears to blame. Lenience and apology for them only makes them more violent and aggressive. That IS where it's at.

They took 'only' 120 to 150 hostages of the 5000 they encountered after all the time they gave themselves. (1300 dead, the rest injured.) They knew before they went what they'd be doing.

  19. Ryan this issue is really not one of homeland. If it were actually about homeland their leadership would have accepted the partition in 47, or any of the 4 states Israel has offered them since. And, the charter of its sovereign leadership wouldn't call specifically for the violent destruction of the Jewish state as it literally does. (Sharing this with Hizbollah, who has 200k rockets aimed at Israel and just turned Lebanon into a failed state.) This is about Islamist Jihad, full stop, and the failure of the West to recognize that is one reason it has become so pernicious and entrenched. Why don't you try looking into the example I gave as a starting point? If this issue is important enough to weigh in on, certainly both the Israelis and no less the Palestinians who suffer for the same reason deserve no less. In one of the offers there was going to be land swaps to account for the existing communities in Judea. It's actually crazy, given Israel's geography, to offer a state in those borders. Especually to such radicalized people. But they did, numerous times. Despite their attachment to the land. Peace is what they want. They gave back the Sinai for it. You don't know that? How do you not know that? (And if not- if that is the level of your awareness on this topic, why do you feel it's important to have an opinion about it?)

  29. It's so draining with people like you. YES the IDF follows the Geneva convention. If you're actually interested and want to learn instead of just hating and throwing shade, look up reports and interviews about the reports pertaining o the previous Gaza flare up, produced by the High Level Military Group. They are a group of generals from a dozen countries of 3 stars or higher who go to conflicts around the world to make assessments and try to learn lessons from them. Their report on the previous Gaza crisis concluded that Israel takes exceptional care to protect civilians- "more so then any other army in the world and possibly in the history of armed conflict". Look them up and read the reports. And please stop being so flippant about saying things like that. Theres been an information jihad waged against Israel for 60 years beginning with Soviet state backing. That's likely why you feel the disdain you expressed to begin with. It's certainly why hating Israel is such an irrational yet common social contagion. It gets people killed, so please don't contribute to it.

(And just after saying no yet again to the state he was offered. (That also was always the plan. Keep offering peace and coming to the table and then keep saying no. You can read about the discussions to enact this strategy between him and his Soviet bosses, I'm trying to remember where.)) This has never been anything but a jihadist conflict, stoked initially by the Soviet Union for its own ends. It never mattered what Israel did or didn't do. It still doesnt- it has nothing to do with it.

And in most of their countries there's very serious trouble for insulting the Koran. The Palestinians have been led by jihadis since the 1960s, they are extremely radicalized as a population now. There really is no desire for coexistence within their society, they mostly want it all with Israel destroyed. And if any leader came along trying to campaign on the basis of true peace and acceptance he'd be killed long before he had the chance to try. That's the reality. The talk of two states when seriously considered is always understood to be a stopgap on the way to taking the whole place. But mostly it's not considered at all - it's been refused over and over while the violence never ends.

Egypt and Jordan never offered them one. Nor would they repatriate them after losing the land in the war they started. So the land belongs to Israel and Israel has tried 4 times to give them a state. They withdrew from Gaza in 2006 which was another total opportunity. (RIP peace) The settlements are built in area c. These are under Israeli governance. The Palestinians currently have all of areas a and b. A is PA and b is shared authority. The violence never stops- never. You don't hear about it but it's daily. The Arabs in the territories are not citizens. Therefore they have no rights inside Israel, any more than you would if you visited Romania, or Japan. So theres no aparthied there either. I needed people to bear with me while I developed so it's beneficial to return the favour. I'm just fed up,it's been too much, too hateful, to often, and I think what's done it is watching BBC and the like contribute so much to the problem. It's just too much to take on, I need a break from it. I really appreciate your attitude and recognize the person I used to be in it. I hope one day to recover. Keep on going my friend.   78. Hi Ryan. I love your content but you made two big mistakes here that are lethal anti Israel propeganda footholds and need to be addressed. 1). The displacement of the nakba. Israels creation didn't result in the displacement of the nakba, it was created by the Arab armies losing the war they started. They started that war instead of accepting the state they were offered alongside Israel that the Jews had agreed to for themselves. Also, 800k to a mil Jews were immediately expelled from a bunch of Arab nations immediately following Israel's declaration of independance. They were all absorbed by Israel. The Arab refugees of 47 in contrast were never accepted as citizens of Jordan or Egypt who occupied them until 1967. They are still called refugees today even though 4 generations have passed, which is unique to them alone- this is yet another political game designed to screw Israel but which ultimately destroys generation after generation of Palestinian lives. Israel offered the Arabs (now calling themselves 'palestinians') a state, and they did so 4 times. Niether Egypt nor Jordan offered them one while occupying them. Yassir Arafat was groomed and installed by the Soviets to create havoc between Arabs and Jews, and part of that plan was to never agree to a state but also to be endlessly violent. The Soviets and the Arab league destroyed and weaponized the Palestinians to stick a knife into Israel and to utilize them in general for their own political interests. The occupation by Israel was free of strictures for the first 30 years- the people mixed freely and got along well, except for Arafats constant violence. Israel finally shut its borders after Arafat killed another 1000 people for nothing following Israel's withdrawal from much of the west bank in accordance with Oslo. That was the end of the peace process writ large. Israel offered them one more state in 2008 but that was rejected again. 2) There IS NO APARTHIED in Israel. You mentioned Israel losing the information war, and then made this statement. Israel is losing the information war because people keep making statements like that. Aparthied has a specific meaning. The situation in Israel does not meet that description. Please address this. Arab Israelis are 20% of the population and have full status and freedoms. They are the only free Arabs in the mid East They are Palestinans as much as are those in the disputed territories. The Arabs in the territories are not citizens of Israel, period. As such they have no assigned rights within Israel. Inside their territories, Gaza is (was) self governed by Hamas. Gaza was NOT occupied-, Israel removed all citizens and soldiers in 2006. The territories are governed in area a by the PA, area b by a combination of PA and IDF. The restriction of movement inside Israel is due to constant violence. The borders were wide open for 30 years. But the endless violence of the Palestinian leadership finally got it's way, hurting the Palestinian people who were then cut off from access to work and freedom within Israel. If the Palestinians had ever accepted the state they were offered those borders and boundaries would still exist, as they would be two separate countries. Finally, despite the hate rhetoric and rocket fire coming from Gaza, up till Oct 7 Israel allowed 20k Gazans to enter Israel daily to work. (This was partly why the Intel on the kibbutzes they butchered and on nearby IDF assets was so precise- that is what the Gazans did with the access to Israel they were granted.) There is NO aparthied, the people in question are stateless and so have no claim to rights inside Israel. Gaza was NOT occupied- Israel pulled out completely in 2006. They were not initially blockaded either, though the borders were shut as mentioned due to violence. The blockade from both Israel and Egypt came about when Hamas took power, for obvious reasons. The strictures on Palestinians are due solely to their propensity for violence, not the other way around. As is evident by the borders having been open for so long despite the constant violence. It is NOT due to race, or ethnicity as 20% of Israel shares these with the people in question. This was done TO them AND to Israel BOTH, by the Soviets and the Arab league over the course of decades. But there is no aparthied, this is technically NOT TRUE. Please fix these mistakes Ryan. Thank you for your content and all you do.

That's how proportionality is determined. That's what happened here unless it was all a mistake. Which it could also well be. If the investigation reveals that bad guys were reasonably thought to be in the convoy it's either a military success with pre-approved 'collateral damage', or a straight military success (ie everyone in the convoy was bad) or else it was bad Intel and so a tragic mistake that resulted in no military benefit and significant 'collateral damage'- the loss of 6 or 8 innocents. Nobody on this forum has any idea which of these it actually is. There are NO other possibilities (except that the car was hit by Hamas and not the IDF) The investigation will reveal which of these it is. Anyone who believes Israel did this on purpose knowing full well nobody bad was in the car needs to check their perspective. Look at it practically- weapons are expensive and targets are too plenty. Nobody is wasting weapons on people who are not a threat when so many threats abound- if for practical purposes alone. As for any other 'reason'- you are now talking about too many Arab, russian,Iranian armies/militias,(ie assad, who killed 500k(10k Palestinians FOR NOTHING-lets see all the posts of outrage you made about that- my guess is there are NONE)) but you are not talking about a trained professional western army.   95. Russia started making hell for Israel back in 1964 when they groomed Arafat to weaponize the Palestinians. The problem is Israel needs to keep Russia onside enough to co ordinate airspace access over Syria so it can take out weapons shipments from Iran to Hamas and Hizbollah. (Which Russia most likely also encourages) If Israel had truly iron clad backing from the us and any at all from Europe they may not need to balance this so carefully. But nobody is really coming to help Israel - Israel can consider itself lucky when it's hands aren't completely tied by its 'allies'. So it's left to bargain with a quasi empire that caused all it's trouble and who still gives it 5 only to take away 10. And they have no choice given the rest of it. They DID call them out at the UN, which they paid heavily for. It was brave, and only the US has Israel's back at the UN- the rest of the west is just about totally gutless.

But in 1973 the war was stopped when the Soviets told the US they would deploy directly against Israel if they didn't stop immediately. (I think that's correct, I'll have to check again) Assad in Syria kills a million of his own people, many with poison gas, and got 1 resolution on one occasion. 5 million killed in the DRC, not a single resolution. China imprisons and sterilizes 3 million Muslims, not a single resolution. Iran stones to death its own women for holding hands on the beach out of wedlock, tortures it's political rivals and their families, disappears people, jail's or kills homosexuals, sponsors state backed terrorism that upends the entire region, starts a war in Yemen that is by far the biggest recent humanitarian crisis in the mid East, sponsors Hamas, Islamic jihad and others that destroyed the Palestinians and Hizbollah which just turned Lebanon into a failed state and has 200k rockets aimed at Israel. They are in this situation along with the Palestinians because the Palestinians on the whole have been unwilling to STOP trying to kill Israelis. That's the situation as it IS. The tolls are what they are due to objectives and capacity. If the PA or Hamas had Israel's military there would be no Israel left and no Israeli left alive. Israel on the other hand uses its military to defend itself. Its objective is to end Hamas. Since Hamas has dug itself so deep into Gaza, and the Gazans, many more people will die than otherwise would. If this tactic didn't work in terms of int'l concern, they would do less of it and less Palestinians would die. But all these truths are present. Hence the steep toll. Given all the circumstances, it's a good thing the Palestinians are dealing with the IDF and not Assad's army. Or Iran's army. Or that of Russia. Or ISIS. Etc.
