  38.  @mtaqi7240  But why is it like that? The original and second partition plans *were contiguous. It's like that now because of the war THEY started in 1947, and lost. Gaza WAS a 'statelet'. For 18 years. Gazans COULD have turned that place into a paradise. Gorgeous beaches and huge amounts of international aid money. Instead they and their "leadership" turned it into a military bunker and endlessly made war from there. Jordan and Egypt NEVER offered them a state when they controlled those lands. And refused to repatriate them after losing the lands in the wars they started. Dumping it on Israel. let's be clear. "Palestinians" as a people is an Arafat/Soviet creation, beginning in 1964. Before that they identified as "Arabs". There never was a "Palestine". The name "Palestine" itself was given to that land by colonizers after they destroyed Israel/Judea. Arabs didn't arrive there for another 500 years, with a conquest of their own. Why is land taken in Arab conquest acceptable to you but Israeli land gains in defensive wars not? Jordan IS an Arab state in 'palestine'- so they already have a "two state solution". Should these people be treated well? Of course! They are human beings. But THEY have to abide by that too. And they have been radicalized and indoctrinated to serve Soviet interests since the 1960s. Read "Russian Footprints", by defected Soviet bloc General Ion Mihai Pacepa. It's in "The National Review". He was directly involved in some of this. The Palestinians have been destroyed by outside interests looking to weaponize them to destroy Israel and the West. It's extremely tragic. But it won't stop until we all face what is being done to them. Anyone who claims to care about them MUST face it. Or it will never stop. To your question, the original and second two state offer by the "UN" and Britain *were contiguous. It is not "Israel's" fault that they are now not.

  87.  @Planet_Xplorer  There has ALWAYS been a Jewish presence on that land, SINCE it was their homeland. It's also arbitrary of you to declare "3000 years" is no good but 1300 years IS. Who the hell are you? The Arabs arrived with a conquoring, colonizing army. If you'll acknowledge that, then why do you give them a greater claim than the Jews who'd been conquored 600 years before that, and who've been in that land thousands of years before that? Why do you only recognize Arab claim to the land and not Jewish, especially as Arabs came through as a conquoring empire long after the Jews had been there? Why not fight to give the land back to the Greeks? Or the Turks? You seem just to be picking your allegiances out of a hat. Nobody 'claimed' anything. Jews bought their way back, buying land from the Ottomans and others. Europeans who arrived settled in Jewish areas. Nobody "stole" anything. Not Jews anyway. Conquoring Arabs forcing people to convert to Islam by the sword during Muhammad's conquest is another matter. Why don't you talk about that?? That's REAL stealing, as in their army wins and they settle the land. Like the Turks, and the Babylonians, etc etc etc. The Jews in early 20th century? No they didn't steal anything. When the time came for the British to give it back to locals (which they didn't have to do) they proposed a state for each group. The Jews accepted. The Arabs got one "Palestinian" state already, it's called Jordan. (Much of that had been previously promised to the Jews. Oh well. Israel has nevertheless not attempted to overrun Jordan..) The other Arabs refused to accept the British offer and then the UN offer and chose war. They lost. Many disbursed in the fighting, to Gaza, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon. (Just 30 to *00 km away.) So that's how it goes when you try to kill people and take their land if you lose. 100000 stayed. They became part of Israel and enjoy democracy, freedom and first world economy. They only mid east Arabs to have that, ironically. Why are you so bent around the axles about Israel? Only Israel I'm guessing. Why? Its not rational..
