Iran has been like this since the revolution. It's good the news and the public are starting to talk about it but really it's too little too late. Where the hell has everyone been all these years? CBC you're no exception.

The CBC has become akin to a warm fuzzy summer camp for children in the way it reports and skirts within the modern woke orthodoxy. I used to strongly support it and lament it's underfunding but now I totally avoid it, it's a waste of time if information, context and quality programming are on your agenda.

@V_for_Vovin not nearly as bad. Not fully rules based but not nearly as endemically barbaric and repressive as it became immediately afterward. And then there's it's foreign policy...

@V_for_Vovin I understand there was repression previously. My argument is that it was not nearly as bad and based on what I've been told by numerous Persian friends over the years who had lived there both before and after, I firmly stand by that opinion. By the way, and not at all intended as an excuse, but how do figure the Soviet backed socialists would have behaved had they assumed power?
