Fireworks are no fun for dogs and other animals and veterans w/PTSD though. I didn't hear you mention that as a negative affect of them (correction I hear you say one off hand remark about animals and a very callous one too given you're a cat owner...). Our neighborhood lit them off for at least 4 hours straight last night all around my house. Must've cost them all each over $1000 to get these things now! Most were definitely the illegal big kind that looked too big to be in a neighborhood. As long as no one's house or plants caught fire or no humans or animals were hurt, then I guess it's fine. I do personally like fireworks, but it does get to be a little too much to have everyone popping them off all over the place while I live in a city w/lots of vets and dogs everywhere too of course so I feel for them. We have one small dog and some cats but they handle it ok every year.
