  1. I remember when I first learned of the Darfurian genocide going on while I was in college, and I got to tell the rest of my class about it as none of them had heard of it yet. That's one of the moments I knew our government and the UN didn't really care about protecting people from human rights abuses cuz they weren't doing shit for the people there.
