  2.  @matthiasthulman4058  then make them stay in rehab for years until they've proven they can be clean, and they should still go to jail if they do anything to harm or take from someone else as that's a separate crime. Why aren't many commentators getting that?

  3. Please clarify which statement you mean by the above: so people who get caught with drugs etc get to get out of jail for free (no bail) or meaning they are stuck in jail until their trial because they don't allow bail payments for them?

  5. Not very different speaking from much personal experience. Alcohol controlled my dad's life for a while, caused him to lose his job, his house etc, until he finally got off of it, and my stepdad is now in a quick decline in recent years b/c his constant beer drinking for the last four decades which he ramped up once my mom decided its finally time to divorce him. Now he can barely walk due to gout that just keeps getting worse and a general low health because he doesn't take care of himself and only wants to drink every fucking day all day long then sleep whenever. It's pathetic. I don't understand how people can let themselves get that way... You can only be a "functioning alcoholic" for so long before it finally does you in.

  6. Yes i know experiences are different. i was just replying to the first commentator on mine. And no I've already helped my shitty stepdad enough cuz hes like an overgrown baby who cant do shit for himself these last 5-8 yrs. He can die alone now in the senior living community we just put him in so we could sell the house and get this shit over with and him out of our lives. He wont make it much longer and thats his own damn fault. He knows what he is and refuses to get help. He has no meaning to his life. His two real kids hate him too and wont speak to him. Fuck him. He never treated any of us right and didnt know how to be a good dad or husband anyway so he reaps what he sows.
