  1. These topics always depress me. I was very active in pushing for environmental measures to be taken by government in my college days but it has dropped off, as I see the corruption of government and they will never be the problem solvers we need them to be. We need people to come up w/the solutions, and yes, I've seen stories here and there on young people experimenting w/a type of bacteria that can eat plastic, etc. IT would be awesome if we could find a way to dissolve all of the plastic waste already here and we should've outlawed plastic bags everywhere now. I always recycle mine when I do get them, but usually use fabric reusable bags when I go grocery shopping, and use the plastic ones for scoping up my cat's poop, lol. I definitely agree that everyone should have their own garden even if it's a small space and all you do is grow herbs. It's a start. Fuck lawns. The whole thing is a useless weed. People shouldn't care about something that looks good but isn't useful to us at all. I want to be able to trade different foods w/my neighbors and get the maximum nutrition out of them vs buying pesticide ridden ones at the store shipped from thousands of miles away. I'm ready to move from Las Vegas already to somewhere where it's easier to grow things though.

  2. I'm sure they're much better than plastic and all of them can be made from recycled material at this point. Or use reusable fabric bags like I do when going shopping.
