@soleil777soleil A parent gives then takes , great recipe for resentment. Seriously different from school ‘rules’. Some things are best dealt with by retaining the parent, child bond. But watching closely. Safety has to be a top priority, both mentally and physically. Not comparable to a dictator betrayal , which children may eventually rebel against. Sometimes the bond when broken, can never be repaired. Resentment can become a strong bone of contention.

@soleil777soleil Is that how you treat a child. Their life has no value other than a game you must win. There are millions of children who grow up within caring protective families. They grow to become productive adults, their self esteem has grown with them. It’s not crushed by the over zealousness of an over controlling parent.

@soleil777soleil Add on. To scared of a Child. So to ensure that didn’t happen, you would Terrify the Child. Nice One.

@burdeo2313 Spoken like a Parent shouldering the responsibility’s of the title. Stay away from Shrinks and let your ‘Gut sense ‘ rule the day.

@soleil777soleil as it’s obvious you could even be American. You cannot Force your belief’s on other’s. Giving then taking away ‘referred to as an Indian given. Clueless where that came from. No one can say their way is best . And the social climate of today echoes that. Your race card is completely inappropriate. Irrespective of race , whipping a child into place is antiquated.

@Paula-um3js Think you may be commenting to the wrong person. Lectures and verbal warnings are water of ducks backs. Soon forgotten. Suggest a written pact. What’s acceptable to the child and actions to be taken by yourself if pact is broken. Both signatures . To be displayed in clear view at all times. (Photo copy’s). Bare in mind children believe they are adults from a young age.

@Paula-um3js Glad you mentioned respect an obvious ingredient. But it has to be earned. Kids can tune out lectures, nagging, raised voices. They know your buttons far better than you know theirs.

@Paula-um3js You know what your talking about in reference to your experiences . No book on it . Which is why they keep getting written. What works for one doesn’t always work for another. That’s life.

If a school of Approx 300 pupils introduced this Crap to just 30 children in the school, ALL parents should withdraw their children. Until, at birth children become wards of court , Parental responsibility remains intact.

Well deserved 👏 for speaking. Fact, the human brain does Not reach fully functioning development until approx 25yrs. They can ‘mimic’ adult responses and appear to be fully understanding. But they do Not have the advantage of foresight , They can make decisions applicable to their age and subject. But this subject can only be assessed on a like or dislike level. Liking a dress more than trousers, preferring an action man rather than a ‘barbie’ doll and so on. If we had a decent fully functioning social services system, all of this could have been stopped before it started.
