Might help if our working class had a decent living wage.

Theresa Coffee couldn’t stop herself from saying , “Work More Hours” it was her stock answer, going well back when people were already struggling before these utility bills. They were her last words in front of the select committee. Puts Truss words in the history books.

@Aisatsana1971 Agree. The broken record in 2019 was get a job. They beat their chests late last year and this one on how low unemployment was. Personally (wouldn’t be offended if you don’t agree) Sunak self anointed finance king , ran from his job. He flashed our cash, must have known the state of finances and at least half an idea of what was coming when he legged it. No matter what people think of Boris, was that really the best move. Not for our people or our Country’s financial debt. Had he stayed, would Boris have given him the bullet, who knows. If Sunak hadn’t broken the lock and withdrawn the universal credit that the lower paid workers were getting, would he and Truss be scrapping the barrel so desperately now. Sunak says he had approx 60 MP’s backing him to go. Does it dawn on him that many were no mark back benchers and he was mugged off. They had their agenda, he had his. His ego pushed him, their hate of Boris ( that many held before he was elected) was paramount. Our people, they didn’t stand a chance.

Our Country is Not on its knees. Our people are Strong and resilient. A force to be reckoned with if it becomes necessary. The Working class are the backbone of the country. Sunak needs to open his eyes to that.

Wow that makes her a greater liability! In the big picture for this country. If anyone is weaselling out of anything it’s Sunak . The list is long.

@AC-tn9hg Seem to remember a point when having a government speaker to regularly address the people was suggested (American style ). Think that’s what’s needed now. Tell the public why it would make no difference if Boris were here. Tell them why Sunak broke pension lock. The list goes on and the people that need honest reassurance are left hanging. Even if the Cabinet has worked out a plan, it’s hardly likely that Sunak would accept it. Truss maybe at least in part. Labour is in No mans land, but the comparative silence from them, could be far more appealing to the public than the clap trap they are hearing from Tory’s now.

@gmailer gmail Full agreement. Not sure if heard right yesterday. Sunak saying more people on benefits than there are jobs. He will make sure, those people have to take whatever job they are offered. It’s only weeks since we were told that jobs were in abundance. So where have they gone.

That audio comes from three years ago. Low paid working class were target of the time. With the bog standard quip that they should work more hours.

@6Tabazan6 Agree. The GBnews in Manchester tonight may be interesting. Supposedly treasury has said there’s not enough money for tax cuts. If that’s remotely true, I reckon Sunak will be glorying in it. Ok, some got their wish and got rid of Boris. But to what end. Can’t see a victory for anyone. IF Boris, the token Chancellor and whoever, have worked out a viable strategy for whoever gets in, Can’t see Sunak accepting it . Also if it’s correct that Ofgem director Walked, strangely Media hasn’t jumped on it. Like your opinion as to why Ofgem was setup in first place.

@Aisatsana1971 Last year Sunak heralded the rise in Living wage. It was an insult then and worthless now. Unions are flexing their muscle, There is no voice for those working two or three jobs a day through needs must. There’s no Union to sub them to strike.

@bossycoconut847 Are you saying, rise in unemployment ??

@Buckets1000 Why do people hang on to every word from Sunak or Truss ? They are both vying to be token leaders Sunak’s offering’s would need him to have three terms in office. Media having field day’s today, of Truss speaking three years ago. Now Scottish Independence raises its head. Can’t any of them just stick to the immediate point. Aaah, but what is the point. That millions of our most vulnerable , the back bones of our society, are going to be hit in a way that they haven’t caused and Don’t Deserve.

@cyclopath4492 Wow , Way too much paranoia.

@TBakerXD Assuming you believe Country is on its knees, with which personally don’t agree. Is that where your comment is coming from. ?

@gtanz8475 Put Sunak in . Then we’ll have him with a dog both barking and lying together.

When considering Sunak ‘Conflict of interest’ comes to mind. In respect of agreeing to disagree Truss being a more seasoned politician plus loyalty to Boris, would like one question to be asked at Manchester debate. Why was Offgem set up in the first place.

Sunak was Chancellor, have people forgotten that. He’s the self professed whiz kid of finance and business. Are we supposed to believe he didn’t see this coming. Couldn’t preempt an oncoming disaster in an area that was right up his street. While he was garbling today, it was big business first. “Cause he knows all about that” Oh then he Remembered Small business, yeah he’ll help them. Oh! of course, Pensioners on the lowest scale. Poor pensioners, That Sunak Betrayed!! He broke the lock and didn’t blink. But he can talk the legs off a donkey . That’s what he thinks most of our people are. Stupid !

But didn’t she give him what for. !
