Spanish and American historical records showed no evidence of Filipino fishermen traveling to far away reefs/shoals to fish . Scarborough shoal was off-limits to fishing throughout the Cold War by the Americans...as it was used for live-fire exercises.

@QuantumBits0 Philippine Gov, MSM, NGOs and academia are selling the arbitration tribunal court's decision as a sovereignty issue. 🤷 PRC is always for dialogue and negotiations (eg. Russia-PRC border dispute settlement). Philippine's historical claim is flimsy .

@QuantumBits0 Philippines is justifying their claims by saying it's their "traditional fishing grounds" ...🤷 Philippines official maps didn't include Scarborough, Mischief, et al as sovereign territory ...Only after the PRC claimed these places. That the Philippines made their own claim . Neither Spain or U$A turnover these reefs/shoals to the Philippines ... after independence and after U$ left Subic and Clark . Notice the Aquino admin (pro-U$ Yellows) didn't file it's case in the ICJ .😎🇺🇲

@melvinperez1486 The alternated Spanish map that appeared suddenly before the Aquino admin was going to file the case ...the map that never got examined by any independent, third party entity for authenticity . Again... China (ROC and PRC) is still the first Asian country to claim it . Spain didn't handover the jurisdiction of "Bajo de Masinloc" to the Filipinos. Neither did the Americans when they gave "independence" to the Filipinos .
