  7.  @ga6589  I’m no expert but isn’t there something like the Unborn Victims of Violence Act that was passed in 2004? And according to that Act if a pregnant woman was killed in the commission of a felony the fetus is considered to be ‘a child in the uterus’? And that law was passed in accordance with the US Constitution. And 38 States have even harsher laws enacted in accordance with the US Constitution. Where I live the law regarding organ donation has recently changed. Previously it operated under an opt in system, now it’s an opt out system and I think that’s an improvement. And you’ve been going on about ‘bodily autonomy’? Well, if someone had bodily autonomy what would they be doing pregnant when they don’t want to be in the first place? Being pregnant when you don’t want to be is not ‘bodily autonomy’. And how can anyone ever guarantee that pregnancy or childbirth would result in injury anymore than you could guarantee crossing the street or walking up a set of stairs. Get with real life in this world and never take tomorrow morning for granted. I can be ambivalent about abortion because I believe there’s more to a human being than their physical body. People aren’t the whole you imagine them to be, they’re more than that. No one ever dies because souls exist in eternity. An abortion is only someone incarcerated in this world preventing the incarceration of another soul at that time and space. It’s frustrating for some of the unborn but also some have agreed to be incarcerated only to be aborted.
