  6. Well, you heard wrong. He wasn’t bad, just bland. Bland is something of a relief as far as Superbowl halftime shows go. He was okay and at least non controversial, which is an improvement.

If it costs 2c to make a 1c coin stop making 1c coins there’s enough pennies in the world already 🤷 It’s also a sign of how inflation has affected the American dollar. The nickel will be the next to go. When I was a kid going to school I remember there used to be half penny coin (ha’penny) and you could go to the sweet shop and buy for a half pence or maybe a packet of something would be 12 and a half pence and I’d be there, shorter than the countertop trying to figure out what all I could buy and laboriously counting the money out for the shopkeeper with the 10p or 20p or whatever I had to spend. Then the UK ditched the half pence in 1984, I think.

  14. Everyone was talking about how poor the halftime show was. It was bland. Samuel L Jackson looked well as Uncle Sam though, he looked younger and brought good energy to his performance imo.

Having said that I would agree that it was better that it was something of a nothing burger compared to the activism of previous years

If you were in charge of the Secret Service security detail would you not want to get ahead of that? Or would you rather make 80,000 people remain in place until the President left? What’s comical about this is that last year Joe Biden wasn’t even fit to make a remote half time appearance and you’re trying to make out that there’s something wrong that Trump didn’t stay until the end of the game when it was common knowledge beforehand that he wouldn’t be staying until the end of the game. Get a life. The Queen of England used to attend the Royal Show at the Palladium each year and it was timed to the minute what time she’d leave and what roads would have to be closed exactly when and you pathetic leftoids in America are going to make up some story that the President left early because he was in some sort of a huff about a game he cared nothing about? Grow up and get real for your own sake.

And he used to disappear on a Friday morning and not reappear to a Monday night. I was alive through that. I witnessed that. The rest of the world that was paying attention witnessed it too. Are you just bent that way to deny reality?
