  5.  @abbygalerowe1254  Not having kids makes me feel miserable ALL THE TIME but it certainly doesn’t make my pocket feel miserable. Maybe I was just miserable to begin with but thank F no one’s asking me to pay out for them and sacrifice my time to them everyday. That is pretty miserable of me tbh, I was supposed to learn to be a husband and a father. Instead I’m just busy on David Pakman’s YouTube channel’s comment section. I think I took a wrong turn at Albuquerque.

  8.  @drunkpekka4284  Well, that would be a false equivalence between the two places then. I was only making the point that checkpoints were what I grew up with. I remember the first time I went to England and walked into a shopping center (mall) and I walked right up to the security guard and I put my hands up in front of him to get patted down and he looked at me like I had two heads. My ma was like, “No. You don’t have to do that here”. So I’m sure it was different in the Philippines, but checkpoints bad? Not necessarily so. I’m of the opinion that there’s parts of America that would be better served by bringing in checkpoints and even permanent checkpoints and sangers. Chicago, Baltimore etc.. Along the southern border too. There’s too many people getting killed that could be prevented. Although having said that there seems to be a new generation of murders now that film themselves committing the murder or bragging about it on Facebook or Instagram. It’s unbelievable how many teenagers not just kill someone but then get caught and spend the rest of their lives in jail because of their social media. It’s like surveillance by the State isn’t even needed anymore !

  9. Well people tend to have strong feelings about a ‘strong’ leader. The Portuguese dictator is still remembered as one of the best Portuguese ever. Same with Stalin in Russia. Sure at Zelensky over in Ukraine right now,. Hero of the Western world ! And him willing to make Ukraine fight right down to the second last man.

  11. Might not that bad, soldiers in the street and at checkpoints and being searched going into shops were an everyday part of life in Northern Ireland in the 70s-90s. It’s not like that now. For the time being, at least. Cameras absolutely everywhere instead.
