@Sean Embry I be one of the first to submit that there may be legitimate national security issues about shooting it down over land and why it might be preferable over open sea that, for national security issues, would not be preferable to talk about. As far as I remember that wasn’t the subject of this video though.

@Sean Embry I’m just giving myself the possibility that if radar is the means of detection a flabby slow moving massive balloon might be harder to detect than a solid missile or plane. And there might be legitimate reasons not to make some such in anywhere similar fact public. I’m giving the military and Biden administration a break on this one just off the top of my own head. Maybe this is a gap in the defenses that still needs to be figured out. Plus the Chinese are acting all indignant about their ‘stray balloon’. 🤔 Did they notify the US or Canada about the possibility of a. ‘stray balloon’ or that they were conducting any scientific experiments with them?
