@bigvaxmeanie925 So you’re pro 2A? I’m not even American, I think it’s just out of badness that I’m getting involved in this discussion. Back when I was a kid someone could have got 15 years straight just for being caught in possession of a firearm. But, still, the government was brought to the negotiation table. With the advances in technology since, I wouldn’t be confident about anything like that happening again.

Does the first amendment secure the second or does the second secure the first? Or neither? Genuine ask for your opinion, I’m not interested into getting into an argument

There will always be such a thing as asymmetric warfare. Tanks can be tanks but they still need fuel and ammunition and it’s not as if the crew can stay inside forever.

@matthewr7593 Sorry but recall making a post on this thread about “hilariously myopic” or “you people”. I don’t see one now either.. Maybe I did and deleted it but the “hilariously” and “myopic” doesn’t chime with me. I don’t see and can’t really remember what you’re talking about. I did grow up in a place of conflict, I don’t remember making that post to you, but I would say it’s possible to overestimate the utility of a world class military against a resistant civilian population.

@bigvaxmeanie925 If that’s the situation you’re living in, you have to be your own first defender. No one is necessarily going to be coming to rescue you. I think people should have the ability to protect themselves, help might be only minutes away but danger comes in seconds
