There’s a photo from another angle that shows clearly that was holding a big Bible horizontally by the spine in his left hand and was leaning his weight on his walking aid held close to his waist with his right. It was just an awkward moment but when I read about it earlier I knew David would run a hit piece like this about it. Any chance of you confirming for yourself about that photo and then writing to David about it?

Leave the old man alone and learn to respect your elders and others. The original narrative was false and manufactured, photographic evidence has shown that so stop trying to cling to the false narrative as it slips your grasp. Just move on.

  6. @ I think he was just out of his depth and out of his comfort zone. I can also think he doesn’t like KH on a personal basis. And for all I know he could be some sort of massive racist too but it wouldn’t be my first thought that he didn’t shake her hand because he was racist. I would prioritize other reasons for why he failed to make the handshake first. And I’d think anyone else who imagines otherwise is doing exactly that. Imagining otherwise.

Does Pakman mention that he’s holding a walking aid in his right hand? No. What was he supposed to do with his cane while he shook her hand? Let it fall to the ground? Rewatch it from 2:00 or 2:19. He doesn’t know where to stand, has to be told and then has to be told to reorient himself in the right direction and then his wife has to offer reassurance ‘Don’t worry’. Watch it yourself. And then realize that David is making up a story here. Psychologising. Opening the segment with entirely manufactured and speculative statements as if they were fact but the footage doesn’t match David’s made up story. The man is holding his cane in his right hand while doing his best for his missus and interacting with her handing the Bible to her and he still nods his head and says thank you. Do my eyes and ears deceive me? Check it out, maybe you’ll see something different from me. Watching this YT video again from the start all I see is DP at his work spinning a yarn for his subscribers, sewing division and demonizing the opposition.

The man has to be told where to go, then where to stand, then which direction to face and then audibly reassured not to worry and then he’s handing the Bible over to his woman with one hand while leaning on his cane with the other when Kamala presents her hand to him and he nods and says ‘thank you’. The man was overloaded and David thought he’d be smart a totally make up that he didn’t want to shake her hand or something. Face the fact that David thought he had a bit of VT that he thought he could spin a totally made up lie about. That’s why he came out so loudly with the conclusion of the video at the start and presented the evidence after.

  15.  @seth8629  Maybe he was deliberately gripping the cane to give the appearance then. I can believe he had that sort of animosity towards her. He’d have made a better name for himself if he’d have just given it middle finger in response to her offer of a handshake but having watched the video several times and thinking about it I can sort of see it your way too in light of what you said. I haven’t seen that interview though, do you know where I can find it? I also don’t think there’s anything wrong with him treating KH like a POS because that’s what I think she is anyway,

  17. @ He’s being dragged along into this swearing in ceremony being told where to stand and what to do and where to go next. He wasn’t prepared to shake hands because he’s doing the whole, ‘Yes Dear’ thing with his missus . You can see he’s got her in one ear and wasn’t expecting the handshake. Wifey that’s giving the orders to him didn’t take his handshake into account.

His right hand still wasn’t free. What are you suggesting? That he should have extended his left hand over or under her right hand and shook that way? Get real. Why is it that you believe this allegation against him anyway?? Is that something that suits you even though it is obviously BS?

  24. No. KH made a socially awkward faux pas by sticking her hand out in front of him like that and she had to swallow it. Having said that he probably doesn’t think much of her anyway. She’s a terrible, inconsequential person. If I had to shake her hand I’d feel bad about doing so I would shake her hand but I’d whither inside for doing so. It’d maybe make me feel like my arm evaporated or else I’d stupidly feel sorry for her.

  26.  @Iwonderwhy124  No, I’ve seen the photograph from another angle that clearly shows that he was holding a large Bible in his left hand and was leaning his weight on a walking aid held close to his waist with his right hand. He only has two hands so he didn’t have a hand free. He would have had to make some sort of maneuver adjusting his weight to make space under his right arm to place the Bible and then transferred the cane to his left hand, placed it on the ground and transferred his weight to his left and, from there, had to figure out how to shake her hand without dropping the Bible he was holding under his arm. Or, alternatively, he maybe would have stopped to consider not transferring the cane around and just shaking her right hand with his left after finding placing the Bible under his right arm. It was just an awkward moment because she stuck out her hand before she realized he didn’t have a hand free. Just accept it as that. This racist, sour notion being pushed by David and the OP, that’s totally made up. Filling in the blanks with the story they want because what’s omitted from the video shown is the fact the the old man didn’t have a free hand to shake hers with.

She’s his boss, had to tell him where to go, where to stand, no, not there , here, no not facing that way facing this way, don’t worry. It’s all there if you watch from 2:19. And then Pakman says he simply refuses to shake her hand? Did Pakman mention that he was holding using his cane at the time? No, he omitted that. fact in order to make up his story. The guy was literally being instructed on what to do, was in the middle of handing the Bible over and being told where to go next and he still nods his head and says thank you to Harris. David is making what’s going on in the man’s head all up. And you can watch the video again and see that.

  28. That’s not what happened. He was holding a Bible in his left hand and using a walking stick with his right hand. He’s only got two hands. Try not to be so quick to condemn people based upon fake news or the first thing you hear next time. And have a bit more respect for the elderly.
